MathUSee is a complete, skillbased mastery curriculum for grades K12. Designed to teach students specific skills in a definite, logical sequence, this systematic and cumulative approach will help students learn how to solve math problems and discover why they're solved that way.
MathUSee’s newest program, Algebra 1: Principles of Secondary Mathematics, helps to prepare students planning to take the PSAT, ACT, SAT, and CLT tests and provides course requirements of the NCAA. The Universal Set includes the books and online resources you need to complete this course.
Student Worktexts: Student course materials are divided into two consumable books. Each lesson includes clear objectives, guided notes, examples, checkpoints, practice pages, mastery check pages, and targeted review pages. A laminated Formula Sheet/Mastery Rubric is also included.
Tests Book: Tests for each lesson, unit tests, a midterm test, and a final exam are all provided along with an answer key.
Instructor Handbooks: Instructor materials are divided into two books and includes a Getting Started Guide, recordkeeping forms, and reduced Student Worktext pages with marginal notes and answers. Answers include fully worked solutions are provided for all activities.
Digital Pack: an essential, required part of this course. It includes lifetime access to the 2volume Instructor’s Handbook, video lessons of lesson content and walkthroughs of example problems, fully worked solutions, digital manipulatives, and extension lessons. Student and instructor log in options and progress monitory tools are also provided.
Prerequisite is PreAlgebra, however it is highly recommended that the student also complete MathUSee’s Algebra 1 Readiness Check.

This Algebra 1 Universal Set includes everything you need for the Algebra 1 level, including the Instruction Manual, Instruction DVD, Student Workbook, Tests Booklet, Integer Block Kit, Algebra/Decimal Inserts, and lifetime access to the Algebra 1 Digital Pack. The Algebra 1 level covers graphing, simultaneous equations, exponents, polynomials, unit multipliers, commutative and associative properties, solving for an Unknown with One Variable, the distributive property, Cartesian Coordinates, the slopeintercept formula, and more.
The Integer Block Kit includes 133 pieces, and is the only one you'll need for all levels of MathUSee, from Primer through Algebra 1; it includes 20 ones and tens, 13 fives, and 10 each of twos, threes, fours, sixes, sevens, eights, nines, and hundreds blocks, plus the Decimal Street/Block Clock poster.
The Algebra/Decimal Inserts feature smooth pieces which snap into 10s and 100s blocks. This kit consists of four red 5" squares, two green 5" squares, 12 each of blue and gray .5" by 5" flat strips, and 20 .5" red cubes.
The Instruction Manual features 30 lessons with detailed instructions that include illustrations of manipulatives and other visual modeling strategies. The back of the book contains linelisted answers to the student workbook and tests.
The Instructional DVD features Steve Demme teaching a classroom each lesson. Each video lesson will help teachers understand the concepts being taught, as well as how to demonstrate it (as applicable); students can also watch with the teacher if deemed helpful.
