A thematically organized vocabulary program based onGreek and Latin roots, each Vocabulary from ClassicalRoots lesson features 2 roots and 8-15 words derivedfrom these roots. Each lesson is based on a specific themesuch as "nature" or "the law." Words are presented withdictionary-style definitions, and all words are used inexample sentences. Lists of "Familiar Words" and "ChallengeWords" are provided for each root to help all studentsactivate prior knowledge and keep advanced students on task.Exercises include matching synonyms, fill-in-the-blank,writing sentences, and more. 16 lessons total; designed tobe used over the course of one year.
