Explode the Code

Designed to assess the reading skills taught in theExplode the Code series, teachers will be able toanalyze their students' performance to determine appropriateplacement within the series. Six placement tests willdetermine decoding and encoding skill and include:

• Primer-level tests to assess phonemic awarenessand sound-letter correspondence

• Elementary andintermediate level tests to assess spelling and reading
• Optional tests to assess word identification andsyllabication
