Using Spellwell, just 30 minutes of lesson-time per week will have your students absorbing new grade-level words that they'll find in their reading experience. Lessons include words that follow a specific spelling rule or pattern, sight words, as well as room for words that the student or teacher chooses, such as words that are part of science or social studies topics. Independent activities like rhyming words, puzzles, adding affixes, writing stories, and bingo games are completed outside of the lesson time to encourage mastery and review. Writing skills are also developed through exercises that ask students to write a paragraph on a specific topic, incorporating their spelling words. The result will be students with a larger vocabulary who are able to communicate their ideas in writing. Each workbook covers one semester and lesson content is cumulative, so starting at Book A is required to complete the program. Grades 2 - 5.

With Megawords, long, multisyllabic words don't have to be intimidating to your children as it prepares students to master the multisyllable words they will read at the fourth-grade reading level and beyond. Each unit presents word lists arranged by word structure and spelling pattern. Brief lessons outlined in the Teacher Guide introduce the assignment in the student's workbook, which can then be completed independently. Students will work with word parts and syllables, then combine the syllables into whole words. Exercises increase reading and spelling proficiency by using words in context. Designed to be used with students in Grade 4 and above who are struggling with decoding long words, Megawords offers advanced word study through phonetic analysis.

The Paragraph Book Series is a specialized writing intervention program that targets middle school students with learning differences who have not been successful in conventional language arts programs. Its step-by-step approach builds writing competency by focusing on foundational skills. Students learn how to edit, format, and build paragraphs while mastering narrative, expository, cause and effect, compare and contrast, and persuasive essay writing. The structured format will appeal to students with organizational challenges. The use of editing marks is helpful for students with weak motor skills. With this systematic approach, reluctant or struggling writers will learn to write engaging, creative, and structurally sound essays. Grades 5 - 8.
