The Orton-Gillingham language program has long been used to instruct children and adults with dyslexia and other learning difficulties. Using visual, auditory, and kinesthetic associations, this phonetics-based guide covers reading and spelling, dictionary use, vowels, consonants, digraphs, diphthongs, word structure, handwriting, and more. Includes an appendix with evaluation tools, lesson plans, and suggested reading; a glossary; and an index.

Color-coded, this set of "Phonics Drill Cards for Reading and Spelling" was designed to accompany the Gillingham Manual approach to reading and spelling.

White, yellow, and coral colored cards are intended to impress associations with vowel sounds, presenting a visual stimulus that calls for an oral response. Teachers show the front of the card, which presents either a vowel phonogram (coral cards), consonant phonogram (white cards), or Spelling symbolic representation of a sound (yellow cards). This Little Stories set features small booklets of phonetically controlled short stories. The stories follow the Orton-Gillingham sequence and can be used to reinforce the O-G method.

Dr. Samuel Orton and Anna Gillingham were pioneers in the field of dyslexia. Their groundbreaking Orton-Gillingham approach, sometimes referred to as OG, has been regarded as the most crucial and significant reading intervention designed specifically for children and adults with dyslexia.

This set contains 610 cards for use with any Orton-Gillingham based approach to reading instruction and is a great addition to any multisensory reading program. The cards are divided into 43 groups of phonic sounds. Single words and detached syllables are used to exemplify the important patterns and generalizations found in reading and spelling. The cards can be used for decoding practice, to introduce spelling rules and generalizations, or for dictation. They are organized sequentially beginning with CVC words and moving on to spelling generalizations, syllabication, and word structure. One set per student is recommended.

Designed to accompany A Guide to Teaching Phonics by June Lyday Orton (sold- separately), this set of phonics cards reinforces the multisensory Orton-Gillingham approach to phonics. 100 Common phonograms are included for teaching the "language code" units and sequences for reading, writing, and spelling. The six primary groupings include:

The Language Tool Kit teaches reading and spelling to students with specific language disability. Based on the Orton-Gillingham approach, it is designed for use by a teacher, tutor, or a parent. One group of cards has spelling units printed in large type on one side, with the common and rarer sound equivalents on the reverse side in small type. Key words and spelling patterns are also listed. The salmon-colored cards are for the teacher's reference, and the yellow cards are for extra practice with consonant blends. Grades K-5.

Based on the same principles as the elementary version (sold-separately), the Advanced Language Tool Kit provides an overview of the structure, organization, and sound units that are needed to develop skills for advanced reading and spelling. The kit contains a teacher's manual and three packs of cards, with features similar to the cards in the Language Tool Kit (also sold-separately).

Based on Orton-Gillingham principles, this set of advanced language tool kit cards is designed to help students with language disabilities. 163 cards (4" x 6") provide an overview of the structure, organization, and sound units that students need to master before moving on to more advanced reading and spelling skills.

This set features three white card packs delineated by their structure (angled edge patterns) for easy sorting. Sets cover prefixes, suffixes, and roots (stem/base words), and are designed for the teacher to use with the student during drill work. Affix cards feature the affix on the front of the card, with spelling(s), pronunciations in recommended teaching order, and finally the sound unit on the back. Root cards feature the root on the front, and the spelling(s), pronunciation(s), and sound unit on the reverse.

This ungraded, multisensory curriculum teaches phonics and the structure of language at both the elementary and secondary levels. Using the Orton-Gillingham approach, it teaches handwriting, spelling, reading, reading comprehension and oral and written expression. The program consists of the Foundations for Literacy, Situation Spelling, and Situation Learning teacher's guides, Situation Learning student workbooks appropriate for all ages, and Alphabetic Phonics workbooks for lower elementary grades. Supplementary card decks are also available.

The EPS Dyslexia Training Program introduces reading and writing skills to students identified as dyslexic or at risk for dyslexia through a two-year cumulative series of videotaped lessons (not included). The program emphasizes intense phonetic analysis of written language and is presented in a structured, multisensory sequence of the alphabet, reading, spelling, cursive handwriting, and listening. Let's Read series Books 4 - 6 provide supplementary reading practice.
