The Curious Historian is a 3-level curriculum that presents the study of history and culture from ancient history to the Middle Ages. Level 1A covers Ancient Mesopotamia and Ancient Egypt. Weekly lessons present a chronological narrative and include historical and archaeological sidebars, discussion questions, hands-on projects, maps, and Greek and Latin root words for vocabulary. Each level covers one semester.

The Egypt Game (Reprint), by Zilpha Keatley Snyder, tells the story of two girls, Melanie and April, that didn't seem to have much in common when they met, that is until they learn that they both have a love for all things related to Ancient Egypt. The girls determine that a deserted storage yard is the perfect location for the Egypt Game. Before you know it there are six Egyptians, and they meet to wear costumes, hold ceremonies, and work on their secret code.
