Handwriting without Tears aims to make legible and fluent handwriting an automatic, mastered skill. Simple for home educators to use, lessons take only 15 minutes a day. The main objective for students is to achieve goals, not to finish a set number of pages.

This cursive fifth grade kit is designed for children in the fifth grade or functioning at that level who prefer cursive and could use additional practice with the skill. Students receive a thorough review of cursive with emphasis on difficult connections, while practice pages reinforce other language arts lessons such as grammar and Greek and Latin roots. Lesson plans incorporate letter review with words and sentences, while activity pages combine cursive handwriting instruction with writing paragraphs, poems, thank-you notes, and other language arts activities. The double lines help the child place letters correctly and facilitate the transition to single line paper. Narrow Notebook Paper has lines spaced 2/16" apart.

Building Writers F covers the following skills:
