A study of obedience, faith, thankfulness, love, honesty, perseverance, friendliness, and kindness in the lives of various biblical characters. Student will follow the adventures of Marcus and Miranda, residents of Half-Pint Hill, through slogans, songs, stories and art projects designed to build strong character in God's little children.
A complete resource for Getting Started, that includes a personal challenge to the teacher, patterning tips, suggestions for meditation, visual reinforcements, stories illustrating the character trait being studied and a variety of teaching ideas for enrichment and fun. Student textbook pages with answers are reproduced in the Teacher's Edition.
Each grade level includes:
- 9 units of study. Each unit of study includes character traits appropriate in number to each grade level.
- Verses to study and/or memorize to reinforce the concepts. These are in addition to a theme passage for grades one through eight.
- Activity pages in the student book which are appealingly designed and illustrated for the mind and heart of a child.
- Parent communicators, beginning with letters home on the lower levels to ideas for teacher contact on the upper levels.
- Bible and everyday examples (from the NIV) of each quality.
Grade 1
A study of wisdom, attentiveness, thankfulness, orderliness, meekness, loyalty, self-control, honesty, diligence, patience, forgiveness, fairness, initiative, and love from the lives of various biblical characters. Students are led through the sometimes-complicated world of choosing what to do when and why. Principles to follow and a "Doing What's Right" creed assist the students in making right choices.

A 2nd grade character study of wisdom, obedience, attentiveness, thankfulness, orderliness, meekness, loyalty, self-control, honesty, diligence, patience, forgiveness, fairness, and love from the life of Moses. The children of "Sunnyview Christian School" are challenged from the life of Moses to learn to think God's way through the everyday circumstances of life.
Grade 3
Building a Life leads 3rd grade students through the "ins and outs" of character building in their lives in the following traits: wisdom, obedience, attentiveness, thankfulness, orderliness, meekness, loyalty, self-control, honesty, diligence, patience, forgiveness, fairness, initiative, and love. The life of Daniel is the focus of this study in being choosy about what students will allow to become part of their lives.

Patience is a virtue many children don't possess today. Willing to Wait emphasizes the need to wait for both "little" and "big" things to bring glory to God-for after all, Heaven is worth the wait!
