All American History Volume I

All American History: Uniting America's Story Piece by Piece tells the story of American history through the stories of great Americans like George Washington, Harriet Tubman, and Sally Ride. This two-year US History curriculum is designed for students in grades 5-high school but is adaptable for younger students (Volume 1 covers one year, and Volume 2 covers the second year; both years sold-separately).

Each volume contains 32 lessons that set the historical scene and describe the historical atmosphere of the events at hand in an engaging narrative style.

All American History Volume 1 Student Reader features thematic units that focus on how people lived, what they ate, what games they played, and more. Eight units (32 lessons) focus on the Age of Exploration, the period of colonization, the American revolution, and the period of establishment & expansion (circa 1840).

The included digital companion guide download is an interactive PDF that includes 32 weekly lesson reviews to help students retain what they've learned. Multiple choice, matching and short answer questions are all used, and four unit wrap-ups provide assessment and summarization. Map work and additional study questions round out geography and give the readings additional depth. These student activities will help students gain note-taking skills, learn to focus on the important elements of a text, improve geographic awareness, learn how to review information, and how to choose research projects.
