Art Curriculum

Master Books Art for Grades 4 - 6

Living Art Lessons: The 7 Elements teaches homeschoolers about the seven elements of art: lines, shapes, color, value, texture, form, and space. Students are taught to observe artwork and nature all around them and to see how these seven elements of art pop up again and again! The Student Book features instruction on the elements of art integrated with information on art history and step-by-step instructions for students to create art themselves. Supply lists and photos of the process and completed projects are also included. Students will explore creations made from clay, watercolor, tempera, markers, colored pencils, and household items. The Artist Journal contains a lesson schedule and a master supply list for each week. It also includes the worksheets and art exercise pages for the lessons in the Student Book. ESV translation. Covers one year of instruction. Designed to take 30-45 minutes per lesson, 2 days a week. 140 pages and 106 pages (consumable, hole-punched, reproducible for family use). Two softcovers. Fun Art

Come Look with Me Series

The Come Look with Me Series is no dry discourse on art history or painting technique. Instead, it pairs quality art reproductions with thought-provoking questions, encouraging the child to enter the painting or sculpture and explore it through the artist's eyes, through the eyes of the people depicted, and through the child's own imagination.

Each work of art is paired with simple, open-ended questions and a brief background on the artist and his or her work, providing adults with added understanding and a basis for further discussion.

Introduce your young students to the fabulous and fun world of art with the World's Greatest Artists Series. Full-color reproductions and kid-friendly overviews of the artists' life are presented alongside cartoon-characters of the artist, bringing a clever dimension to the series. Fun and educational, these light yet realistic books make an easy and exciting transition into studying the fine arts. Ages 4-8.
