Sunshine_B.5 Stars Out Of 5Overwhelmed is NOT a way of Life!January 30, 2017Sunshine_B.Quality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5The title of the book is NOT another DIY on how to organize your house, car or schedule. Overwhelmed for for those of us who feel just that, overwhelmed. Both Kathi and Cheri offer relatable stories and practical advice on how to come out from being overwhelmed!
NICUMommy5 Stars Out Of 5Boosted out of Overwhelmed!!January 9, 2017NICUMommyQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I found this book to be life changing. The advice is great, from unpacking how/ why I am overwhelmed and great tools to become less so. Even as I was doing dishes last night and feeling overwhelmed by the tasks before I could go to bed and several tools came to mind to help me be less overwhelmed in the morning. Since I have read this book I have gone back and referenced it time and again to help me adjust my expectations and help me think through better systems. Quite frankly, I was afraid that reading the book would make me feel MORE overwhelmed or that it would take too much time to do it. NOPE. It really broke it down for me and allowed me to work with what I have on my plate and break these issues into manageable pieces. Even as a homeschool mom of a medical needs child, I cannot change what is ON my plate, but I can change how I deal with these things to make it work for me in a manageable fashion. Definitely a new go-to tool!!
I cannot recommend this book enough!
sjobabe865 Stars Out Of 5Overcoming OverwhelmedJanuary 9, 2017sjobabe86Quality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I love this book! Kathi and Cheri share amazing stories that show how they can relate to the reader. Love the humor too! I was able to make my life less chaotic by getting rid of my never ending to-do list and organizing a calendar to help me get things done. I feel at peace with tasks that used to make me feel out of control. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is struggles with feeling overwhelmed.
Chrysmum9205 Stars Out Of 5Overwhelmingly Helpful!January 9, 2017Chrysmum920Quality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5When I first started this book I expected to find a formula for how to handle my overwhelming to do list for my crazy life: mom, two jobs, volunteer responsibilities, house, etc. Was I ever wrong! Not only did I find practical advice to manage all of these hats I also found the most helpful tool of all; explanations of how different personality types manifest in feeling overwhelmed in different areas as well as practical strategies to deal with them.
From putting together my Personal Manifesto, learning how to break large projects into micro-steps, to a new approach to my planner/calendar (its a planner not a catcher upper) I am prepared to start 2017 out from under the chaos with my sanity restored! A way to follow thru on those resolutions as I begin to live the life God intended for me.
I was a part of the launch team for Overwhelmed and received an advanced copy of the book in exchange for my honest review. My copy is well-worn and marked up, each page full of AHA moments I keep going back to.
This book is a must for anyone drowning in commitments without any clue where to start, it is a great gift both for yourself and anyone on your list! Thank you Kathi and Cheri for an easy-to-read practical approach to a subject that is pertinent to so many of us!
