Starr structures the book with three parts and twelve chapters:
- The Relationship Drives Obedience
- God's Faithfulness Fuels the Mission
- As You Go, Be Salt and Light
The general feel throughout the book is that it's half an autobiography of Starr's life journey and half a Christian Living book encouraging deep, intense and difficult obedience through Christ.
Starr's personal experiences, encounters, ministries, and obedience is powerful and encouraging. We often limit our ability of obedience to small, tangible tasks. But Starr makes it evident that our obedience can be so much more than what we can imagine because of God's grace and mercy.
She concludes the book with a section encouraging her readers to step out in faith, stand firm in their foundation of Christ, and boldly preach the Gospel in areas they would never have considered on their own. This section will push your heart and your mind to consider what God may have in store for your ministry that is maybe beyond your comprehension in the present moment.
I really enjoyed learning about her ministry and being reminded that our ministry can be just as powerful if we allow God to work in us.
I received a copy of this book from BethanyHouse in exchange for an honest review. -
