Publisher's Description

While no one suffered under Hitler more than the Jews, truly committed Christians found themselves facing two terrible alternatives: conform to or be consumed by the monstrous political ambitions and genocidal blood lust of the Third Reich. This one-of-a-kind true story depicts the courageous Ziefle family, Christians standing firm against the tidal wave of Nazism. While Hitler's tyranny undermined, contradicted, and countermanded every effort she made, one woman instilled in her children a commitment to remain faithful to God. Its lessons will be a welcomed encouragement to contemporary Christians facing equally real cultural pressures and seduction in the twenty-first century.

This story is documented, well written, and enhanced with numerous photos. -- Church Libraries

"If you're tempted to give up and give in, you'll find encouragement and strength in this inspiring story of how God, who is greater than any culture or government, honors the commitments of those who are faithful to Him . . . . History buffs will appreciate the glimpse of life in Nazi Germany that Helmut Ziefle provides in this story about his family. It will also help the reader consider what life might be like for these in Iraq, Afghanistan, and other countries trying to recuperate from war. Christian parents may find Ziefle-family dynamics and experiences that parallel their own family lives today." -- Baptist Bulletin
