GrandaddyAAge: Over 65Gender: male5 Stars Out Of 5Never Give UpAugust 14, 2025GrandaddyAAge: Over 65Gender: maleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I enjoyed this fourth book in the Alaska Air One Rescue series for multiple reasons. I like the way the author keeps bringing back characters from previous books so the reader can see how their lives have progressed and what they are doing. I would not go so far as to say that there were characters from all of her prior series, but I remember reading stories about practically all of the friends and acquaintances of the hero and heroine of this story. A few of the bad guys slipped back in as well. The action got quite intense at times, and the romance was just right. I appreciated the role that faith played in the lives of various characters. Oh, and add in some international intrigue as well. Great story!

FayeAge: 25-34Gender: Female5 Stars Out Of 5Highly Engaging!December 28, 2024FayeAge: 25-34Gender: FemaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5London Brook's past is coming after her, and she must stay one step ahead in order to keep them from taking everything and everyone she loves again. Shep doesn't know everything in London's past, but he knows that now that he's found her again he will do everything he can to help her put her past to rest.
A fast paced read, with plenty of familiar faces, with a twisting plot that kept me on my toes. I liked the blend of high stakes suspense with dangerous surviving against the wilderness. Great protagonists, with wonderful character development along the way. I liked how Shep is determined to be by London's side through all of this.
Overall, a great addition to the series, with a lot going on and great side plots as well. Strong themes of faith, as well as trust in this high stakes read.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own. -
Melissa D.5 Stars Out Of 5Fantastic ending to a fabulous series!December 26, 2024Melissa D.Quality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5*God sometimes gives the hardest tasks to the ones he can count on the most.*
Wow! From the snowy mountains of Alaska to the rich country of Montelena, this final book in the Alaska Air One Rescue series had me glued to my kindle from page 1! I loved One Last Stand & the reverse James Bond-like adventure!
London Brooks defied death once & continues to do so. But, when her past comes calling she*s forced to return to the clandestine world she was hoping to leave behind. Russian terrorists want something she has & are willing to do whatever it takes to get it. When the man she loves is put in danger, London must reveal herself to those she loves & do everything in her power to bring down the terrorists.
Shep Watson thought he*d lost London forever. But, when her ex-fiance turns up & demands London give him a secret encrypted bio card, Shep embarks on a thrilling adventure as he & London travel to Montelena to try to foil the terrorists. But back home, the team encounters their own dangers as someone seems intent on ruining Moose*s chance at happiness.
This book had me on pins & needles the whole time! I loved the James Bond vibes especially when it was London who was the clandestine agent. I loved the kingdom of Montelena & the fancy ball combined with nonstop action. The romance was so good & I loved the banter between Shep & London. The plot was intense & I loved all the latest tech included. It was so fun seeing all the characters again from previous books too. Don*t miss the bonus epilogue that wraps the whole series up in a bow.
Definitely a must read for romantic suspense fans! A fabulous conclusion to a great series. To avoid spoilers, it*s best to read the books in order. I received an advanced complimentary copy from the publisher. All opinions are my own & voluntarily provided. -
MJSHNJAge: 35-44Gender: Female5 Stars Out Of 5loved London and ShepNovember 10, 2024MJSHNJAge: 35-44Gender: FemaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Ah, the long awaited and highly anticipated story of London and Shep. The wait was worth it and the story did not disappoint. London has a mysterious past that was fascinating to learn about and the depth of international intrigue surrounding her family was unexpected. I had sort of forgotten Shep had familial ties to Gage Watson from Montana Rescue series so that was a fun nugget to behold. Their European journey brimmed with action and plenty of twists and turns in their quest to save the world from Russian mob and rogue ex-CIA. I absolutely loved the cameo appearances of the Montana and Minnesota Marshalls, along with their affiliates and colleagues. Their romance was a wonderful adventure and their faith journey an even bigger one. Moose and Tillie also had a crazy adventure in this book that had me on the edge of my seat.
I cannot believe the series is over already! But I do believe there is more coming our way with Minnesota Kingstons. Cannot wait to dig into the new series!
I received a complimentary copy courtesy of Revell via NetGalley and was under no obligation to post a positive comment. All opinions are my own. -
Reenie5 Stars Out Of 5great finale!November 5, 2024ReenieQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5"Wow, she was tired of dying, resurrecting as a new version of herself" (location 392). London is a fascinating woman. She longs to be useful and to fight injustice but her heart is torn as she longs for Shep. Yet her very life puts him in danger.
I love Warren's books. One of my favorite things is how interconnected all of her stories are. I love that prior characters play a big part in this book. I enjoyed the focus on Moose and Tillie, Boo and Oaken, even Frasier and Pippa.
There's great suspense with lots of action and danger....a little Mission Impossible vibe. It would make a great movie. I'd highly recommend this book and this series.
Thank you to Revell for providing me with a free e-copy of this book. All opinions are my own.
