David deSilvaAshland, OHAge: 45-54Gender: male4 Stars Out Of 5Buy the Complete DictionaryAugust 6, 2015David deSilvaAshland, OHAge: 45-54Gender: maleQuality: 4Value: 2Meets Expectations: 4The articles in this volume were excerpted from the larger Dictionary of Scripture and Ethics, which contains entries on each of the books of the Bible and, then, a plethora of specific ethical topics and issues besides. Since the larger Dictionary has been out for several years, it is likely going to be more economic to buy that single volume than to buy the two derivative volumes, The New Testament and Ethics + The Old Testament and Ethics, and it will contain far more beyond those two volumes. Indeed, at the time of writing, the full Dictionary is less expensive than EITHER derivative volume on this site. I would actually recommend against buying these derivative volumes in favor of the full Dictionary -- which I would recommend very highly. As for my rating, I do think highly of this reference work, but I am also biased, having contributed the entries on "Hebrews" and "Apocrypha" to the Dictionary and, thus, to the NT and OT derivative volumes respectively.
