First the positives - Nice text layout ( I like the paragraph style, no references). Easy to read font size. Nice quality paper. Two ribbons. The 5.5 by 8 inch size is nice for holding. The bible lays flat, even in Genesis.

Negatives - the biggest negative is the quality of the printing - some pages are much lighter than others and it's not line matched so the 'ghosting' shows through. The leather is quite stiff and thin like most 'genuine leather' ones today, and certainly not soft and supple like the more premium bibles.

Over all a good bible for the price, but if I had to do it again, I would pay the extra and buy the Cambridge edition.

I have had a variety of Bibles as a pastor - most for pastoral work: studying, exegesis and preaching focus. I wanted a "reading Bible" that did not have to have book intros, expansive notes for research. I wanted a Bible to use in my morning devotions - NRSV, compact but not tiny. This Bible meets my needs in every way. A Father's Day gift from my sons. It means a lot coming from them...and it is exactly what I was looking to find. Great quality for daily use.

I like this versions flow of words and understandability. It is a good hand-held size and it's font is readable. The pages could be of a better onion skin quality and the leather could be a finer quality leather, but overall, for it's price, which was reduced, it was a good bargain.

I like everything about this Bible: the print, the size, the leather, the gilt, the two ribbon bookmarks, the price and best of all, the translation. This will be the Bible I read for 2018.

Trying to find a good quality NRSV Bible that is not Anglicized and is without the Apocrypha is almost impossible. Every search kept coming back to this Bible as just about the only option so I purchased it. Based on the cost, I found this Bible to be an overall above average quality Bible that exceeded my expectations based on some of the less than positive reviews I read about it. Is this a high end two hundred dollar Bible? NO, but it is without doubt well worth its cost in my opinion. This Bible is a nice medium size that can be used at home or taken on the road with ease. The binding is tight and sturdy, the print is easy to read and the cover is thicker and of better quality than expected based on some of the negative reviews. I am very happy with this Bible and would recommend it to anyone looking for a quality NRSV Bible that is not Anglicized and is without the Apocrypha.
