DaphLeland, NCAge: 25-34Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Very excited to get started!August 3, 2011DaphLeland, NCAge: 25-34Gender: femaleQuality: 4Value: 5Meets Expectations: 4I ordered this for my Kindergartner, so we can all do Apologia Science together. I'm so excited to get started! I love that this series doesn't speak down to kids, and I love the use of scripture throughout. My only complaint on this, and the regular notebook, is that some of the fonts used are difficult to read. It doesn't make it impossible, it just gives it an old, outdated look (think dot matrix). Other than that, I'm so impressed with the content and information in these series.
Also, for parents who may be concerned with this: The Reproductive System is not mentioned in this book, which I really appreciate. I'm not ready to explain that to my five and nine year olds. -
wayranchAge: 25-34Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5ExcitingMay 14, 2012wayranchAge: 25-34Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5We have not used these yet but they were purchased for my soon to be 5th and 7th graders. When we opened the box and they checked them out they were really excited and even asked if we could start them right away. I like the way the workbooks are set up they are really colorful and it draws the kids in. They are set up for 14 lessons 2 times a week and they will fill 28 weeks of teaching.

SaraG5 Stars Out Of 5My Kids Really Like TheseOctober 16, 2016SaraGQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Let me start by saying that I'm disappointed in this particular Apologia curriculum. It is much too difficult and in-depth for kids younger than junior high age.
That being said, my 11- and 13-year-olds are enjoying their notebooks considerably more than they enjoy the accompanying text. I wish I'd had notebooks like this for my science classes in school! There seems to be just the right amount of space to write a few lines of information and draw some pictures, and there are also cross-word puzzles, diagrams to label, Bible verse copywork, and neat suggestions for projects and experiments. The personal person project is pretty cool, too! -
anonymous5 Stars Out Of 5Stuffed FULL of amazing learning!October 1, 2015anonymousQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I was amazed at everything this journal has! Really reviews the materials extensively. Very fun for my 3rd grade daughter's way of learning. Drawing pictures to what you learned. Crosswords. And making a personal body. Can't believe how much we are learning and retaining even at her young age, and she's having FUN!!! We're just finishing the first chapter, and I'm looking forward to what else it has. It does have a lot of work/review, so you may not have to do each page, or have time to do each page. But at least it has options!! Worth the price. So glad I decided to add this supplement to our schooling!
