MamaLindsay2 Stars Out Of 5I wanted to love it...January 11, 2018MamaLindsayQuality: 5Value: 2Meets Expectations: 1I was really excited to purchase the Apologia Exploring Creation with Human Anatomy and Physiology curriculum for my children this year. The textbook is awesome, the audio CD where the textbook is read aloud is awesome, but these journals just did not meet my expectations at all. Some of the fonts in the book are extremely difficult to read (it looks like they were made on Microsoft Word Art), there are pages to write/dictate/draw "fascinating facts" about what you learned in the lesson, and then you turn around 2 pages later and do a crossword puzzle with vocabulary words that you haven't worked with yet (other than listen to/read in the book). The notebooking journals do give you a 2 day/week schedule/reading guide, which I thought would be nice, but ultimately I just didn't like how the text book and the journals correlated. Now, we have recycled the notebooking journals and we are simply enjoying listening to the textbook and doing the Try This! and experiments & project in the text book.

hmschmom055 Stars Out Of 5The best I've paid forApril 27, 2017hmschmom05Quality: 0Value: 0Meets Expectations: 0The Apologia curriculum offers the very best content of any curriculum my elementary student has used! We utilize both the Workbook as well as the Junior Journal and Notebook. For building a FIRM creation-based foundation, no other curriculum surpasses Apologia!
SaraG5 Stars Out Of 5Great NotebookOctober 16, 2016SaraGQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5First off, I do NOT recommend this curriculum for younger kids! It is just way too advanced, with highly complicated words and concepts. So in a way, you shouldn't even need to use this junior notebook.
However, if your older kids (at LEAST junior high age) are going through this curriculum and you have younger kids that desperately want to follow along, this is a good notebook to get. Lots of colouring pages, good Bible verse copywork, and my 6-year-old gets to be like her adored older siblings.
Snaptoit4 Stars Out Of 5Fun ActivitiesOctober 2, 2016SnaptoitQuality: 0Value: 0Meets Expectations: 0NJ is not necssary, but I'm glad I bought it. My son loves the activities that involve cutting and glueing. There are also copywork, coloring, and labeling pages. It's worth purchading.
