We couldnt get to it everyday, but when we did the stories offered wonderful springboards into great discussions. There were even some stories I had heard before and knew there were videos of some of the people on the web that I could look up. It really brought the stories to life for my kids. Its Not Who You Know, Its Who You Are is a book for all ages, and I recommend it especially to parents looking for short stories they can share with their children, but also to show them they, too, can be winners.

Dont feel as though you are a winner or successful? Pat Williams addresses this issue with five different parts: Part One: Success, Part Two: Leadership, Part Three: Family and Friends, Part Four: Impact and Influence, Part Five: Becoming A Person of Excellence. Pat Williams shares all the stories concerning all the individuals in this book for one reason only and that is to let us know that Jesus sees us the same way as the individuals showcased. We are winners and successful in His sight and that is the way He created us. So let us take encouragement from these stories and go out and take the world by storm. I think this is a great resource for everyone and would be a great gift for friends and family.

Jen PenMidwest4 Stars Out Of 5Full of inspiring anecdotes...February 13, 2015Jen PenMidwestQuality: 4Value: 4Meets Expectations: 3SUMMARY:
Full of famous and successful people (Michael Jordan, Barry Manilow, James Dobson, Florence Griffith Joyner, Colin Powell, George W. Bush), Its Not Who You Know, Its Who You Are shows how those people thrive in living correctly. Though not always easy nor always successful, each person overcame obstacles in life to be a winner, in the important meaning of the word.
A PENNY FOR MY THOUGHTS:
Though not always glamorous, each little anecdote with a famous person shares the experience and importance of striving for happiness, success, leadership, influence and excellence. I found many of the short stories to be insightful of people in a way not often seen/ known. An inspirational book, anyone interested in fascinating people from all walks of life is sure to enjoy it. As senior VP of the NBAs Orlando Magic, Pat Williams has come in contact with some mighty people over the years. Good for him turning those experiences into a learning experience for all.
