Wayne Mack does a great job of taking us through a portion in his book on the "one anothering commands" in Holy Scripture. To all would be "lone rangers" Jesus died for individuals, this is true, however, He also died for HIS church. Great little read!!
Mark Rice5 Stars Out Of 5June 15, 2010Mark RiceCommitment - that's a scary word for many who long for lone ranger freedom or who have been burned by a bad experience. But Wayne Mack shows that no Christian should be without commitment to a local church. This book is helpful to those considering the Biblical reasons to become (or not become) a church member. Mack builds a sound case that you can't be a good Christian (obedient to the commands of Christ) without formal commitment for your local church. Mack's analysis is throughly Biblical. He has written helpful thought-provoking application questions at the end of each chapter. It is a short, easy to read, and full of solid content. I believe that it would also be helpful to members - reminding them why they've become members. I highly recommend it. See also Mack's book "Life in the Father's House".
