Publisher's Description

The Christian life is a journey lived by faith in God. But along the way it may have turned out to be much different than expected. Glen Gibson addresses many of the questions, challenges, and concerns common to the Christian life--issues often avoided in discussions of contemporary spiritual life and experience. Many feel their spiritual life is "not what they thought it would be" and wrestle with hard questions--questions about God's actions or inaction, his timing and will, and his larger purpose--and how you fit into it. But you've probably found that satisfying answers are much more difficult to find. In this book you'll find valuable insights that provide understanding about your own journey of faith.

Take a deep look inside the life and spiritual journey of Abraham, the man known as the father of faith, and you'll see the same kinds of questions. Discover how your spiritual life that may not be the way you thought it would be, can still become better than you imagined.

Anyone who has questions about what the life of faith looks like or should look like will benefit from this book. Our church is using it in our home groups and it makes the spiritual life so clear and understandable. It is so practical in the way it addresses issues of faith and the Christian life and the discussion questions at the end of each chapter really help to process and apply biblical teaching to daily life. It's also great as a Bible study as it includes the Scripture passages at the beginning of each chapter.
