Magers1 Stars Out Of 5Very DisappointedAugust 25, 2018MagersQuality: 1Value: 1Meets Expectations: 1This book is more about the authors life and less about leading without authority. I am very disappointed with the content of this book. I expected to read about examples of success stories where the author led a group or task to success where they had no authority but theough their passion, discipline, and integrity achieved success. However, the book mainly rambles on and on about stories that have nothing to do with leading but the authors personal experiences in life rambling from here to there but going no where. Absolute waste of a read.
Marty1 Stars Out Of 5How to Lead When You're Not in ChargeNovember 9, 2017MartyQuality: 2Value: 1Meets Expectations: 1A senseless monologue. Mostly a rambling collection of thoughts with no theme to tie it together, never really comes to any point. The author should have kept what real content he has to pamphlet. Don't waste your time or money. I would like my money back.
Sarah5 Stars Out Of 5Leadership with Biblical PerspectiveAugust 25, 2017SarahQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This book was both helpful and humorous, which I greatly appreciated since reading non-fiction isn't my most favorite thing. This book explains how to start leading right now, no matter what seat you're sitting in, or whatever your job title might be, and gives applications that readers can start doing right away to gain influence. The thing that makes this book stand out from all other leadership books I've read is the Biblical perspective that Clay provides throughout. Not only will those working in ministry benefit from the teaching, but so will business executives, teachers, accountants, plumbers, artists - everyone. If you've ever had the thought "if I was in charge..." or "this would work better if..." than this book is for you. Anyone can make change happen if it's done the right way, and this book will guide you through the process.

It gives you the insight and tools you need to Lead at whatever stage in life you are at. It doesn't matter if you are the top person in a corporation or a janitor. Isaac5 Stars Out Of 5A Leader's Must-ReadAugust 22, 2017IsaacQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This book is incredible and needs to be in the hands of every leader. Practical, down-to-earth, and just full of insight. From a perspective of a guy who doesn't just follow one of the greatest leaders, he is a great leader from the position he is in.
You will find yourself not wanting to put this book down as you have multiple "aha" moments.
I have been recommending this book to anyone I come in contact with because the reality is, we all answer to someone.
If you are a defensive person, you may cringe a bit as Clay really asks you to look in the mirror and determine how to really lead yourself well.
Bottom line: It's not position or authority that makes you a great leader, it's influence.
