Good book to help people think about the scriptures, not just read them. Used very little of the leader guide but a good ideas booklet for group leaders. The DVD was especially good for session 4 and 5.

This is an excellent study of Advent and the birth of Christ.

I enjoyed reading a chapter a week during Advent. Each chapter caused me to ponder what Mary was thinking about her life at different times as the mother of the Messiah.

Our adult Sunday School class truly enjoyed this study. We had great discussions and appreciated Adam Hamilton's perspective, particularly Mary's point of view throughout and that the timeline was in reverse. It was a great Advent study and a perfect way to lead us to the manger.

Adam Hamilton writes in a way that puts the reader there...you can visualize and feel the emotions of the people.
