In this book, you'll find your broken heart uplifted, encouragement for your weary soul and realignment of your thoughts to what truly matters. No More Perfect Moms is a book I am recommending to everyone I know! "[Our] differences are designed to complement one another, not cause us to compete with one another! We need to learn from other moms, but not compare ourselves to them."
WHalleenNew Richmond, WIAge: 35-44Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5You are not alone in this Mama role!January 28, 2013WHalleenNew Richmond, WIAge: 35-44Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Are you tired of yelling at your kids to 'Stop yelling at your sister (or brother)!!"?? Why do I expect perfection from my kids, my husband, my friends, etc. when I am far from perfect? Unrealistic expectations can deflate someone very fast, including myself! No More Perfect Moms is not your typical parenting book. Jill is the real deal and she lays it out "perfectly" for us. We need God's grace each and every day, sometimes moment by moment. When we truly live IN His grace, we are able to pour that same grace out onto others in our lives. You will not be disappointed in this book. It's great to read in a group and/or on your own. You will be amazed, relieved, and even cry as you discover that you are not the only one out there who has what Jill calls the "perfection infection". Learn that it is okay NOT to be perfect, have the perfect body, perfect kids, perfect marriage, perfect home, perfect friends, etc. No More Perfect Moms is a MUST read and a MUST share!
lc795 Stars Out Of 5Great personal read or moms group choiceJanuary 28, 2013lc79This isn't a parenting book. This is a book for every woman who feels the burden of the appearance of perfection in other women's children, homes, marriages, bodies, and lives. With honesty and straightforwardness, Jill Savage addresses the unrealistic and inaccurate standards that we measure ourselves against, which inevitably lead to dissatisfaction and discouragement. "We compare our messy insides- our struggles, our failures, our less-than-perfect lives- to other women's carefully cleaned-up, perfect-looking outsides. It's a game we moms play that we can never win." This book gives women the courage to set those images aside; to find and embrace the real joy in their real but imperfect lives with their real but imperfect families. This is a thoughtful personal read or great book club or moms group book for women wanting to build closer, more authentic relationships and discard the unrealistic "perfection infection."
I received a free copy of this book as a member of the Launch Team for "No More Perfect Moms," but all opinions in this review are my own.

I am challenged by her idea of eliminating the Perfection Infection in my life.
But to do that I must yield to God.
The idea of YIELD, that red upside down triangle sign, is not a fun one.
I want to go first, take my turn, and do what I want.
But it is in my yielding that I learn patience, timing, and virtues that only He can show me.
I am most Thankful that God has used this book to make me yield.
Slow down see where I am wrong. (and right!)
And how I can use it to not only effect my husband, my children, and all who enter my house, but to further His kingdom.
Through a MOM like ME!
