If you have ever forgotten to pick up your kids, accidentally worn two different shoes to the grocery store, or lost your cool over a messy house, YOU ARE NOT ALONE!
In No More Perfect Moms, Jill Savage says it how it is: All moms struggle. We fall short of our own standard of excellence, and then we feel insecure about not being the perfect wife with the perfect kids, perfect husband, perfect home, perfect friends, perfect marriage, and perfect body…
Jill speaks to the root of the insecurities mothers feel and points to a better way.
No More Perfect Moms will help a mom:
- Change her unrealistic expectations to realistic hopes
- Give grace and love to her husband and children even during struggles, and discover the beauty of grace when she stops judging herself and others
- Find freedom from disappointment when she embraces her real family, her real challenges, and her real, but imperfect, life
With refreshing honesty, Jill exposes some of her own parental shortcomings and helps mothers everywhere shelve their desires for perfection and embrace Gods beautiful grace. When moms do this, they can learn to love their real but imperfect lives.
StefanieIllinoisAge: 25-34Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Great bookMarch 11, 2014StefanieIllinoisAge: 25-34Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This is a GREAT book written by amazing ladies with a lot of first hand experience. Not only does it touch base on specific topics, it also gives scenarios and helpful anecdotes to help improve the way we, as parents, can POSITIVELY handle hurdles that our children may run in to. Can you relate to these few excerpts from the book? "We tell a child to 'act your age,' and then we realize he really is!" but "how realistic is this goal when we'd have to admit we don't always act our age?" We can't expect our children to be perfect in anything they do. Nobody is perfect, except God. We need to rid this world of the "Perfection Infection" and give our children, ourselves and our loved ones more Grace. "When we correct our children, we have to let them know we're rejecting their negative behaviors, choices, attitudes, etc., and not them." There are just SO many hints and tips at becoming a better Parent and to not have fewer, unrealistic expectations of our imperfect, yet wonderful, children! You won't be disappointed in this book. There are additional resources in the back of the book, as well as online. I highly recommend you buy this book ASAP!
IreneUnited States5 Stars Out Of 5Great book for all moms to read!April 11, 2013IreneUnited StatesQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Wow what a powerful book for all mothers to read and learn from! The author, Jill Savage, has written other great books but this one is by far her best one yet! I gave this book 5/5 stars. There are many examples and illustrations that will make you laugh and even some that will bring a tear to your eye. They are each perfect for the topic the author is discussing. Every mom should read this book and then go out and buy all their mom friends the book! I thought the author did an excellent job of showing all moms that no one is perfect and we all just do the best we can! I would recommend this book for every mother, no matter what age your children are!
I would like to thank the publisher for the copy of this book I enjoyed reading. I gave an honest review based on my opinion of what I read.

JeanineNormal, ILAge: 55-65Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5EVERY Woman should read No More Perfect MomsFebruary 27, 2013JeanineNormal, ILAge: 55-65Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Jill Savage's No More Perfect Moms identifies and provides wise antidotes to eradicate the Perfection Infection in numerous areas of our lives, our: kids, body, marriage, friends, days, homes, and homemaking. We are urged not to compare our insides to other's outsides, so that we don't make unrealistic expectations for ourselves. I like how she points out that we're to have realistic expectations but not lower expectations.
I picked up this book with a certain mom in mind who I knew to always wants everything "perfect". However through Jill's inspired message, I was convicted of my own need to control, which often resulted in my frustration and disappointment in people and situations. The only real control I have is self-control [which is a fruit of the Spirit]. One of her statements that hit a bulls-eye for me was: "When we don't value the moment we are in as much as the one we planned, we'll miss out on precious time with those we love."
In addition to providing tools to deal with our distorted perspective on perfection, we are led to see that "the imperfect parts of our lives are counterbalanced with the reality of a perfect God who longs to shine His light through the cracks in our lives." That gives me great hope and the desire to share this book with EVERY woman!
jaimers5 Stars Out Of 5Must ReadFebruary 16, 2013jaimersLove this book. It really is for everyone! Not just Moms. We all stuggle with what we think is "perfect" and how we are not that. I love how honest this book is. Another thing that I love about it was all the responses that Jill used from Facebook comments. Real answers from real women. So many times while reading this book it was like a light bulb going off and I was uplifted. This book is a must read. I am sure I will read it over and over to remind myself to "Not compair my messy insides to some elses cleaned up outside."
