Praise the Lord!! A beautiful Bible to look at, but more importantly, the set up of this bible is outstanding for study, research, and personal growth, Great for both the seasoned scholar and the new Christian, my favorite bible by far!!!

As a Bible for a working person this one provides the most comprehensive summaries and explanations that a person can hope to find. As ever, there are many resources that one can use to study God's Word but this one is a very well organized and straightforward place to begin if someone is seriously studying any aspect of any of the books of the Bible. It provides great cross references which reveal many of the ways all the books in the Bible are tied together. Also, as ever, a good concordance (which this one has) is always one of the best tools that any Bible can have incorporated into it.

I have a Lindsell Study Bible - "The Living Bible" version that is 34 years old and has a lot of tape on the binding to keep it together.

I was not looking for a new study bible, but I had a friend looking for a new study bible and the reviews from other friends recommended Life Application NLT as there preferred study bible. So I went online to check out the Life Application Study Bible.

And it being Black Friday Sale on Christianbook.com, I reviewed the bible and I ordered my new study bible.

I there is so much to love about this bible. The Large print makes reading and studying much easier. The introduction to each books of the bible that helps you to understand the history of the book you about to read & study, the footnotes to help to understand more what the verses are talking about, the maps that are included in the footnotes and the maps in the back of the bible. So much more. Love this Study Bible.

The translation is excellent! And the background information on the committee responsible for the translation was thorough. The pages are sturdy and the font size was large enough. The study guide accompanying the text is well written and the maps and biographies are very helpful too! This would make a great gift.

A real blessing! Having done a few years of bible study on my own, I am so blessed to find this Life Application Study Bible.

Not only does it give the extra information that I look for when I do bible study... it has application that reminds me why I am doing the study, i.e. how to apply the study in my relationship with God, and not just head knowledge. And I am encouraged that the things I concluded in my earlier personal bible studies were confirmed by the Study Bible.

My husband is now also enjoying this Application Bible. We use it as reference when we study the bible together now. We do not need google for timeline of events, amongst other things.

Would have liked more coloured maps, but overall, very pleased with it.
