It is meant to help one understand the Bible in a manner that gives confidence to unapologetically define and share your faith, rooted in the truths of Scripture.
The goal of this Bible is to inspire readers to be more like Christ in all ways: thoughts, speech, and actions. It includes introductions for each book to explain its content and give context. It also includes over two hundred articles placed near relevant Scripture passages, over seventy quotations from historical figures, and more than fifty profiles of historical figures. Included are a Table of Monies, Weights, and Measures, an Index of Features for Canonical Study, and an Index of Features for Topical Study. The Words of Christ are presented in red.
This is a marvelous Bible, presenting many features to assist one in increasing his knowledge of Gods Word. I found the many articles, quotations, and profiles quite helpful. I always appreciate having the Words of Christ in red, as it helps to emphasize His teachings.
I would recommend this Bible to anyone who wishes to truly understand Scripture.
I received this book free from the publisher and was not required to write a positive review.

Confidence For Such A Time As This
Published by Thomas Nelson critical issues.
This Bible has hundreds of articles, profiles and other features besides the scripture, to help you with morally and spiritually critical issues. The goal of this Bible is to inspire you to a Christlike thought and belief. Each book starts with an introduction to context and content, a color chart that uses eight subjects, Church, Corruption, Economics, Education, Family, Government, Sanctity of Life, and Virtue. Each of these subjects are divided into four sections: Biblical, Historical, Quotations/Writings and Commentary. The charts show which subjects are included in each book. The articles are well written and very informative, they add to the understanding of Gods Word and makes this study Bible different from other study Bibles. At the front of the Bible there is a very good explanation of the features and subjects, I think this explanation is very important to your use of this Bible.
The notes and features are based on Kairos Journal and are to instruct and encourage Christians who desire to see Biblical change in their homes and workplace. Some feature included are; over 50 profiles of historical figures, quotations from historical figures, 220 articles placed near relevant passages and indexes of each feature to help in a topical study of the Bible. There are indexes at the back of the Bible for a Canonical or Topical studies.
This Bible covers many areas that are not covered in other study Bibles and would be an asset to everyones library, whether you are a pastor, Sunday school teacher, a discussion group leader or just a lay person wanting a greater understanding of the Bible. This Study Bible helps you to stand with God in todays culture. In the articles that I had read, for this review, I found them to be scriptural sound and very informative on the subject they were written for and am sure they would be a great help to all.
I received this book free from the publisher through the BookLook Bloggers book review bloggers program. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commissions 16 CFR, Part 255
HeidiMarie5 Stars Out Of 5NKJV Unapologetic Study BibleNovember 26, 2017HeidiMarieQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This study Bible from Thomas Nelson was created to inspire Christlike thought, belief, speech, and action by unapologetically applying Biblical principles. This Bible takes a look at difficult and complex issues, and helps us to understand them and to respond like Christ. It includes notes and resources from all over the world.
There are eight subject areas that are covered: church, corruption, economics, education, family, government, sanctity of life, and virtue. I am really looking forward to reading completely through this Bible, because I think that it will be really beneficial for me. I am hoping that this will lead to more understanding of the topics and issues presented in the Bible.
This Bible is a sturdy hardcover with a dust jacket. If you take the jacket off, the book itself has the same image printed on it, which I really like. The pages don't seem as thin as typical Bible pages, which is another plus. The text is written in the typical two columns.
I would give this 5 stars, and would recommend it to a friend.
TimIllinoisAge: 45-54Gender: Male5 Stars Out Of 5NKJV Unapologetic Study BibleNovember 16, 2017TimIllinoisAge: 45-54Gender: MaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Here is a study bible with a well planned approach. Each book of the bible has and introduction, and as part of the introduction there is a grid which helps the reader know which themes are present. The grid has an x-axis of Biblical, Historical, Quotations & Writings, and Commentary. The y-axis has categories of Church, Corruption, Economics, Education, Family, Government Sanctity of Life and Virtue. It is this grid which sets this study bible apart from others.
The grid allows the reader to see at a glance what type of study helps are included in a given book of the bible. The eight categories on the y-axis as further broken down into 38 subcategories. The x-axis categories allow the reader to know if the article included on a given topic is addressing a Scriptural point of view, a historical point of view, an quotation or article written on the topic, or if there is a commentary included.
Each article is then cross-referenced in the back of the Bible. Included are two indexes which are keyed to Scripture or topics. Missing are such common elements of a study bible such as a concordance, maps and a ribbon marker. The lack of these features is easily overlooked in light of the information which is included. A very nice study bible to gain fresh insights and perspectives from a wealth of contributing authors.
I received a free copy of this bible from BookLook Bloggers in exchange for a review. The review did not have to be positive and all thoughts expressed are my own.
