The print was bold but too small to comfortably read. I anticipated Comfort Print to be larger. This Bible is exceptional and very nice quality. I hope they make a large print edition someday.

I absolutely love this Bible. I have many bibles, but this one is my favorite. I feel you just can't have enough bibles. The Bible is the only truth we have. And when you dig in the word and meditate and spend time and seek Jesus. Truth will be seen. Just love all my bibles. but like I said this one I love the best. Every one needs a Bible.

This Bible is absolutely stunning! I took about 2 hours to browse through the Bible and soak in all it's resources inside. This Bible is edited by Jack W. Hayford who is someone I've never heard so I did some research on him and found that he is a Pentecostal minister and Chancellor Emeritus of The King's University. He is also the former pastor of The Church on the Way in San Fernando Valley, CA. I didn't do too much research into him, but enough to get an understanding of his views.

The Spirit-Filled Life Bible is a stunning one and it's in the NKJV translation, which happens to be my favorite translation to use and study the Word. I got the burgundy leathersoft and it's absolutely beautiful. It's a beautiful burgundy and a dark brown. There cover has a small dove on it that gives it a simple and refined look. The Bible comes in a gift box that's pretty standard and gives helpful information about the Bible and it's features. The Bible comes with two ribbon bookmarks in burgundy and brown to match the Bible cover. Gold gilded edges which are beautiful.

Now lets talk about the inside of this Bible. This Bible is red-letter text which I'm a huge fan of. I just love seeing the Words of Christ in red. This is a study Bible that's packed with some amazing resources. There are the normal resources like study notes, cross references, in-text maps, charts, articles, concordance and full color maps. There are resources such as Kingdom Dynamics, Word Wealth, Praying the Word and Truth in Action.

Kingdom Dynamics consists of thirty-three themes and seven in-depth articles which are considered to be key elements of the life of a growing, devoted disciple in God's kingdom. I enjoyed glancing through these sections which are put into nine groups. Some of the topics are: Holy Spirit fullness, The power of unity among believers, Winning the spiritual war, Ministry of divine healing, Divine principles of money management and Lifestyle stewardship.

Word Wealth has more than 650 important terms that are key words to help us better understand the Word of God. They give the original Hebrew or Greek definition along with helpful insight into the derivation and the Strong's numerical listing. In short it gives the English term treated, original transliteration and the scripture reference where the Word Wealth definition is located. Any Word Wealth word will be written in bold font within the scripture for easy access.

Praying the Word are simply prayers adapted from specific verses or passages. These are great to use as prayer prompts or to just quickly pray a scripture over your life. Such an amazing aspect as many people find it hard to pray -- even myself at times, so this is always a plus. I wish more Bibles included this feature in them.

The final resource I want to talk about is the Truth in Action chart. This is a chart that gives practical ways to apply the truths of the Bible. It summarizes the foundations and teachings of each book and then gives ways to act upon and apply that truth. Throughout each book there will be numbers listed to help make it easier to find that truth and action at the end of each book. I think this is another phenomenal feature within this Bible as it gives ways to live out the truths.

Overall, this is a phenomenal Bible from first glance and a few hours of use. I absolutely love this resources in this Bible and can't wait to study with it. Highly recommend this beauty.

3rd Edition Spirit Filled Life Bible NKJV

I have used the Spirit Filled Life Bible since the 1st Edition came out. Then the 2nd edition was released and even better. However, there are a couple of things that Thomas Nelson missed the mark on on this bible. The new features are awesome! hands down they got that right and then the features that they added to are wonderful as well. But where Thomas Nelson missed it was 1st- the size of print. It is not comfort reading print. Its small enough and then using the paragraph style of putting verses together makes it nearly impossible to see what verse you're actually reading. If you were using this bible in church, you wouldn't be able to see the verse your pastor has instructed you to find as you follow his/her message. As a study Bible i will recommend it to my friends based on the understanding it may be difficult to read. I have noticed the past few years Thomas Nelson going this direction with the Bibles they produce, like they're trying to make them "user friendly' with this paragraph style. I could almost tolerate the small print if it was verse by verse as in other versions. I certainly would be able to see it somewhat better. As a study bible, what they have brought into this bible is awesome,
