This bible is great for elementary-aged kids. The price was right, too. We chose the Hard cover due to its longevity. We love it!

This bible has the potential to be a great bible, but do to the paper binding I can only say is a good bible. As it is designed for kids, I feel it should have a tougher type of binding, say a hardback or leatherette binding. The covers are brightly colored, but simply a heavy-weight cardstock. That aside, the bible contents make up for this deficiency I believe.

There are, according to the publisher, over 850 features in this bible including such features as Epic Ideas which discusses major themes in life and Starring Roles, which are biographical portrayals. There are book introductions and maps included. Time lines and a dictionary/concordance. The articles are indexed, which is nice,

One aspect I really like about this bible is the Action! articles. These insets are application oriented ideas for how to apply the Scriptures. For example there is an article on Kindness focusing on Matthew 25:34-40 which helps kids understand they too can be kind and has a prayer the child can pray to help them see ways to help with being kind throughout the day.

All in all, this is a great option for a kids bible, but may not be suitable for kids who are on the younger side of the target age spectrum (8-12). There is a hardcover version of this bible, and I highly recommend spending the extra money to get that version if you are looking for a younger child. This one is suitable for kids who treat books a little more gently.

I received a copy of this bible for free from BookLook Bloggers in exchange for a review. The review did not have to be positive. All thoughts are my own.
