Impeccable quality with the genuine black leather and the high quality paper. Love the NKJV as most of my memory work growing up was with KJV and the NKJV helps bridge the gap. My preference is a translation like the NKJV or NASB and this one really fits. The genuine black leather is absolutely beautiful.

Excellent study bible!

This bible is of extremely high quality: thick sturdy leather cover, high quality paper that does not bleed through, margins wide enough to take notes, dark 9 point text that is easy to read. The Bible can be opened to lie flat on a desk or table. It has a sewn binding. The words of Jesus Christ are in red letters. Any pronoun referring to God is capitalized(e.g., He, Him) which helps clarify who is speaking or being spoken to. The Bible also contains a listing of Bible maps, color maps, monies, weights & measures, a concordance, an index to Proper Names and a complete index to subject chain references.

Scripture notes are helpful and pertinent. They complement Scripture but do not overwhelm the text. The boxes explaining the covenants and dispensations are very useful.

I highly recommend this Bible for content as well as quality. This Bible is replacing my Scofield Bible of 30+ years.

I am replacing it because I have worn out/taped some of the pages but the leather cover is still strong and intact after more than 30 years.

Oxford does a nice job on getting study Bibles manufactured and this was the case for this one. I got this one because it was the lowest cost! I would think that the ones that did not have two different pieces of leather for their cover will probably be longer lasting, but time will tell. I would keep the box it came around, for storing it.

I would also point out I have no problem with this Study Bible being made in South Korea! Twenty-nine percent of their population identify themselves as Christian. Perhaps many of the workers at the Bible factory are Christian? Can the same be said for the workers at American printing companies that manufacture Bibles?

From what I know I also prefer the Study Bible III's over the original Scofield since the augmented additions are improvements for the original Scofield Bible!

Overall, I would think one would be proud to have this on their coffee table for people to thumb through, besides reading this Study Bible for themselves.

Very happy to have Scofield Study Bible in NKJV. I have through many years enjoyed subject matter references that took me through my King James Scofield Bible, but found the archaic language would slow my understanding of what was read. This Bible's NKJV translation allows me to quickly move beyond all of that.
