The difference between this Bible and the original KJV, in the original the name Jehovah appears in that Bible, wear as in the NKJV the title LORD is correctly in place. Most Christians don't know that the Jehovah name was invented by a Catholic monk by the name of Raymundus Martini.

When Mose walked the earth there was no alphabet in Europe yet, so today will never hear a Jewish person refer to GOD as Jehovah, this name was not around in old testament times and the same can be said of the word "replenish".

Scofield Bibles use to be great but some of these new things are wrong

They changed the 7th dispensation of Kingdom from Rev. 20:4 to Eph. 1:10 and they do not know what they are talking about! They say the woman fell in the garden of Eden from Pride. There was not a prideful nature in the 1st dispensation and there was no sinful nature. The scripture reveal that she was deceived and not any thing more. There are also other things that this one feels very uncomfortable about! This is such a shame because it is going to hurt people!!!! I believe the 1998 version is much better as I own 2 Scofields already. I found a 1996 version on Amazon and will see if that is better. There may be some good things but a person needs to be careful and ask God to help with such an important thing as the Word of God and comments that could confuse someone.

Readability of this bible is superb with the large print. The verse by verse format is nice instead of a paragraph format some other bibles have. The cross references located in the left and right margins are separated nicely for clear readability. Overall, the pages have a 'clean' look, easy to locate items without losing my place. The quality of this bible is very good, cover, bindind, pages etc. This bible is a pleasure because it makes studying the word of God easier.

I bought the durable hardcover NKJV large print Scofield 3 edition. It isn't very large print but it's okay. I didn't understand the KJV nor the Classic Scofield notes (not knowing either the KJV or dispensationalism very much), but I do understand the NKJV and the arrangement of the material in the Scofield 3 helps in the understanding of it. I also like that the notes don't overwhelm the reader but encourages the reader to read the Scripture word by word, line by line with the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
