Congratulations! It has taken Thomas Nelson to at least equal the quality and readability of the original John MacArthur study Bible, the hardbound one that came out nearly a quarter of a century ago in 1997!

Of course it is said to have more notes and the concordance is supposed to be better and bigger, than the first edition, but what I found interesting they seem to gotten rid of the term "Palestine"! Good show!

John MacArthur is also got subdued about putting his initials or name over everything? I'm glad not to see his moniker on the beginning of every book in the Bible.

I'm certainly happy to get the latest edition, without having to break the bank.

Since I agree with almost all of John MacArthur's theology, I'm happy to get this update. I will say people who have to wear spectacles to read something, you're probably going to have to have them with this edition also---but that would have been probably true with the original one as well.

This edition is certainly an improvement over the 2006 one.

The MacArthur Study Bible is a very enlightening volumn on God's Word! Clears up many questions with plenty of footnote information! I recommend this Study Bible

This Bible has went above my expectations. I took a college level course on the book of Zechariah and used this Bible. Pastor MacArthurs study notes matched exactly what I was learning! This study Bible is a must have for any seroius student of His Word.

I bought this version to see if I would use it before investing in the pricey leather one. I wasn't sure I would use it since I purchased the set of the commentary books by MacArthur. (Which I reviewed a while ago, and absolutely love.) Surprisingly, I use this book quite often! It is handy sitting under by bible for quick reference and I use it far more than I thought I would. The only down side of the hard board, which given the price I should not complain at all, is it is not as comfortable and doesn't lay flat when opened. Now I know that the investment into the nicer leather edition is in my future.
