Q: Are the words of Jesus written in red?

No, this is not a red-letter Bible.

Q: Does this study Bible teach the concept of the trinity? Often Study Bibles will have segments based on the opinions or studies of the authors which are meant as helps, sometimes they are, sometimes they aren't. I am looking for a Bible for my son, and I am very particular. There was another NKJV boys' study Bible which showed an excerpt discussing the trinity. I need to know whether or not this Bible contains a similar section/content. Thanks!

Yes, there is a note at the beginning of Matthew and a dictionary entry which discusses the concept of the Trinity. It's a very basic description. The dictionary entry provides several scripture references in support.
