This children's Bible from Tommy Nelson is designed to be the perfect first Bible for a child. As well as using language that kids can understand, it teaches kids about some Bible basics and lessons for beginners in the faith. Lessons such as:

Why should I read the Bible?

    Bible verses to know

    Knowing Jesus better

    How do I pray?

How can I let God's love shine through me?

How do I study the Bible?

    The names of God

    And so much more!

This is a floppy paperback Bible, which may be easier for kids to handle, though I feel like the spine would break and covers could tear easily when kids are a little rough on it.

The text is still super small, which I don't think is the best decision for a children's Bible, but the pages aren't so crazy thin and tearable like many Bibles.

The best thing about this Bible is that it is meant to be an affordable option: it's only $9!

Overall, I would give this 4 out of 5 stars.

In my opinion this is a Bible I would expect to see as a gift Bible, or one that a church may have in-stock for when kid's forget their Bible's at home. The look and feel of it is definitely an economy Bible, which is reflective in the price-point. The cover is thin and the pages feel very flimsy so it doesn't appear to be a Bible that would hold up for a long time. It has a few pages to introduce kids to studying and learning more about God, which can be helpful especially for kids who might not attend church regularly or don't have parents who are believers who can help and encourage their growth. The cover is attractive and I believe it would make kids curious to read what's inside. The text itself is straight-forward, and all in black. I believe this could be a useful Bible to use for outreach.

*I received a complimentary copy of this Bible. I was not required to give a positive review. Thoughts and opinions expressed are mine alone.

NKJV Childrens Outreach Bible, published by Tommy Nelson, an imprint of Thomas Nelson, is a Bible designed to offer the Word of God to a larger audience without causing a financial burden on the individual or church that is seeking to bring forth the gospel.

The NKJV Childrens Outreach Bible comes with many features, including: Why Should I Read The Bible?, Bible Verses To Know, Knowing Jesus Better, How Do I Pray?, How Can I Let Gods Love Shine Through Me?, How Do I Study The Bible?, and many others.

One of the amazing features that stands out is the colorful pictorial timeline. This timeline is not only designed to enhance the Biblical knowledge being absorbed, it also has the ability to visually inspire the creative side of its reader/observer, allowing them to not just read the words of the Bible but visualize how the story happened.

This Bible is perfect for giving away to children seeking to find Jesus as their Lord and Savior without breaking your budget into pieces, thus it is a recommended purchase.
