I simply love the study notes. The history it gives during the time period of each book that is wrote. The background, and or the biography that it covers on the main characters in the particular book that you're readng.
Now the bad; I have replaced this Bible 6 if not 7 times maybe even more. All of this in the past couple of years. It simply falls apart. The binding is suppose to be sewed but, the pages fall out and it is aggravating after exchanging and even buying some replacements. It is the only Bible I have ever had that has fell apart. I'm not ruff on my Bible it stays in a Bible cover except when I read it, which is everyday. This is upsetting and disappointing to spend this kind of money for something that falls apart.
But I do have to say that Christianbook has went beyond what most businesses or at least what you think would be normal to make this right. Thank you Christianbook. It is disappointing for it to be so cheaply made....
I appreciate the historical, biographical and geographical information included in this Bible. For me, it helps me to understand the words of God more thoroughly when viewed through the life experiences of the culture.
If your looking for a Bible with good trusted commentary then this is it. A very spirtual uplifting and motivating down to earth kind of commentary. If you want textual criticism this isn't that. I wish the maps accompanying the text were in color but other than that, this Bible is perfect.
