the images are interspersed throughout the Bible. they are printed on thick paper that allows the use of more markers and pens than the standard Bible paper.

This is the first time that I've seen a bible with coloring pages in it. I mean I have used a journaling Bible, but one with coloring pages? Nope! So this is definitely a first for me. I was actually curious how there could be coloring pages in the Bible because, well, coloring pages are usually printed on nice thick quality paper, and the Bible pages are usually much thinner than that. So I was curious how this would work.

The first thing I did when I received this Bible for review was to look at the pictures. They are truly lovely. Not too detailed to be frustrating to color, but also not boring. The images are typical of the adult coloring books that are seemingly everywhere today. Each picture also has a Bible verse printed on it.

Coloring is a great way to meditate on what you have learned or read in the scripture. In total there are over 50 pages of illustrations waiting to be colored. Some of the pages feature double page spreads to color and others are single pages, which face the Bible portion on the opposite page.

This Bible also contains the entire text of the NIV version of the Bible. It is a nice slim size with a hard cover and a ribbon page marker. It would fit nicely inside a medium sized purse or bag with plenty of room for markers or colored pencils. I would personally choose to color these pictures with gel pens. The binding lays nice and flat for easy coloring and the hard cover makes a nice solid surface to use while coloring as well.

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. I wasn't required to leave a positive review. You can read more and see photos in my blog post: http://www.sewhappilyeverafter.com/2016/09/wonders-of-creation-holy-bible-rose.html

I've been enjoying Bible Art Journaling for awhile now and much to my delight my granddaughters have shown interest in doing it as well. The NIV Wonders of Creation Holy Bible is the perfect solution for introducing my younger grand girls to this form of worship.

This Bible has a ton of full-page art with Scripture just waiting to have color added. I feel like it is a great first step in encouraging my girls to meditate on a particular passage while they add their own personalization to the page. The only drawback to this particular Bible is that it doesn't have wide margins so you can't really do journaling on the pages. I do plan on showing them how to add some tip-ins so they can do art on passages that have deep meaning to them.

I am particularly excited about the presentation page. It has the usual to, from, and date sections but it also has beautiful butterflies just waiting to have color added. My plan is to color them in as a special memento from me to them.

This would make a wonderful gift for your favorite budding art enthusiast. Since the translation is the NIV it doesn't even have to be a child! May I also suggest the companion coloring book Wonders of Creation? Those two books and a pack of colored pencils (or markers, or gel pens) would be a really nice and encouraging present.

I received a copy of this Bible to facilitate my review.

I think one of the best ways for children to relate to God is through nature. The Wonders of Creation Bible offers great drawings that will appeal to boys and girls. Each coloring page has a scripture, too. This would be a great gift Bible with a set of colored pencils. I'd recommend it for children ages nine through young adult. The hard cover is attractive and sturdy. I would have loved this Bible when I was a young girl. I received this book for free from Zonderkidz.

This is such a nice Bible! As soon as it arrived, I sat down to page through it and my kids quickly joined as well and "oohhed and aaahhed" over the pages. This is a hardcover edition with NIV text, a common edition that is easily read and understood. There are black and white drawings throughout the Bible just waiting to be filled in with gorgeous colors. The front cover is a great example of the drawings that are filling the pages of this Bible as they are filled with intricate detail and so nicely done. Now the argument is over who gets to claim this Bible to be their very own!
