This is a nice dramatized NIV video bible. However, the navigation menu may not work perfectly in a car DVD player, which is what happened when I tried to play it in my car. The reason I suspect is that the DVD is double density, meaning it is 8GB instead of 4GB, so it can hold both the Old and New Testament on one DVD. I have a KJV video Bible, which separates the Old and New Testament on separate DVDs, and I have no problem playing them in my car. I was ready to give this DVD 1 star for quality because the navigation menu appeared to be inaccurate. For example, in my car DVD player I tried to play John 10, but it brought me to Hosea instead. However, when I play the DVD on my home computer navigation is accurate. The music is not overpowering, so it does not interfere with hearing the narration. The two pages at a time video are also not bad. The audio quality is very good in that there is good balance between bass and treble. As far is it being the 2011 gender neutral version of the NIV, below is an example of how Mark 4:25 was changed:

1984 NIV: "Whoever has will be given more; whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him."

2011 NIV: "Whoever has will be given more; whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them."

I am taking one star off because, in my opinion, it would be better to put the Old and New Testament on separate CDs.

Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ. Romans 10:17 As expected the DVD was excellent, slower and easier to understand then some out there..

I have The WatchWord New Testament Bible on DVD & was excited to find out this one included the Old Testament as well as the New. However, I was very disappointed with this DVD. It shows 2 pages of a Bible at a time (at a distance) while the viewer hears a voice reading the words rather quickly. In contrast, The WatchWord Bible shows a photo of something or someone related to the one phrase or sentence that is superimposed in large letters across the photo as a very pleasant voice reads the words at an easy pace to appropriate background music... very powerful & slow enough to digest the meaning!!!
