My Church in South Carolina uses these Bibles in Our Shoebox and Backpack Ministries at Christmas. With the Larger print And NIV, they can be Used by Almost anyone in Most homes, to Draw Closer to Christ! Being able to SEE the words and then able to UNDERSTAND the Words meaning Is PRICELESS!

I received this bible as a gift from someone, I looked up the ISBN here on CB to ensure I checked the correct listing. I don't tend to buy trade paperback books, so I don't recall the thickness of the pages in most of them, but for a bible this has wonderfully thick pages! I do not feel worried that I will tear a page while flipping through and reading it. It is rather thick, be aware. It's not very heavy for a bible, simply because it's made as a trade paperback. I'm very happy with it.

I measured the size as 8.5 inches tall x 5.375 (three eights) inches wide x 1.5 inches thick. The text size is large, and feels good for my tired eyes to read. I only ever buy bibles with a font size of 9 to 11 pts, this is right there in that zone. This listing states 9.9 pt as does the back of the book.

Because it is a paperback style bible the pages are not white. They are the average darker paper, which makes the contrast between the font (black letter) and the page lower than most bibles. If font contrast is an issue for your vision then you will definitely need a more traditional Bible that is printed on what is considered bible paper.

I would highly recommend stocking up on a few of these to hand out to someone you may meet on the street or in church. The current sale of 50 percent off is absolutely a fantastic deal for this Outreach paperback Bible.

I ordered this bible because sadly I haven't been able to read the bible I have had since I was a child for about five years. I liked that this one was a larger print and was looking forward to reading again. Unfortunately, this bible although larger print isn't any easier to read because the letters show through the pages from the other sides. I'm really disappointed.
