My son loves the book. He's very excited it's not a kids Bible anymore. I love the quality and the price was just right and his name on the front of it looks great.

This is a nice hardback NIV study Bible focused towards teens. The coloring of the Bible cover is in gender neutral greens, whites, and browns. The beginning of the Bible starts out with the Apostles' Creed as well as a brief history behind the Creed as a root to our faith. Each book has a one page introduction that explains the book, names the major characters of the book, and mentions a few things that were occuring around the world at the same time.

But what makes this Bible any different from any of the other masses of study Bibles out there? The language is slightly easier than I've found in an adult Bible. In order to address some of the angst of the hormonal teenage years, there are the "Dear Jordan" advice letters that address modern day issues that teenagers face. At the same time, there are the To The Point paragraphs that give Biblical advice on everyday issues such as problems with parents, peers and self-image.

At the end of the Bible are 8 pages of color maps that highlight the different areas during the history of the Bible.

Overall, I found this to be a very informative, and hopefully, helpful to teenagers as they go through what is some of their most difficult years of their lives.

    My Review:

I have never reviewed a Bible before, but this one just caught my attention and I really wanted to review it!

This particular Teen Study Bible I think is perfect for both teen boys and girls, although there are a few points that focus mainly on girls or mainly on boys, these are the Dear Jordan pages.

I have really enjoyed the overall view of each book of the Bible. The overview includes 5 or so facts about the book as well as about when it was written and who probably(if unsure) wrote it. The Questions and Answers are also fun.

There is also a check list in the very back that encourages reading through the entire Bible and helps you keep track of where you are. I like that the colors are neutral, not boring and not crazy colors and pictures, and the Bible is hardback.

I thoroughly look forward to using this Bible for the rest of my teen years and recommend it to any other teen who is looking for a good Bible!

"I received this Bible from Zondervan for the purpose of this review. All comments and opinions are my own."

This Bible is a study Bible geared toward teens. It's bright and colorful. It offers many resources to help our teens learn more, as they dig into the Word of God.

In the back of the Bible, it has a section called 'study helps'. In this section, it offers different helps to help others grow in their faith. In addtion to the helps listed below, it includes a variety of maps.

What do I read today? This is a section where students can keep track of what they read. It offers help, by sharing that a new believer may want to read one of the Gospels first. It offers three 'plans': for those reading the Bible for the first time, for those who want to read the Bible in a year, and for those who want to read the Bible in two years.

Bible Truth Index: This subject index helps students/teens to find just what they need in the Bible. With Father's Day just passing, they may look up something on "father's" or sin, etc. It offers many topics.

Teen Life Index: Another section with many topics. Some in this section are answered in a question format as a way to engage the readers. Others are marked as 'instant access'. Want to know more about a topic? This is a good place to start.

This Bible is engaging. It offers many good helps at the end of the book. What is particularly enjoyable is seeing the added help from page to page. On one page, it may include a "dear Jordan" piece, while on another it may include an 'instant access' piece. These help the reader to engage in the Word of God more deeply. I feel like the Bible is easy to use. The Bible is durable. I think I would recommend this particular Bible to another. The print is small, but it is also good especially for young eyes.

I was given a copy of this Bible by Booklook, in exchange for a honest review.
