Author Bio

A veteran novelist, James Byron Huggins' life story reads more like fiction than fact. After working as a newspaper reporter, Huggins left journalism to help persecuted Christians in eastern Europe. From Texas, he worked with the Christian underground in the Iron Curtain, spending his life savings and becoming homeless. Huggins left America to offer assistance to Romanian Christians. He often remained hidden for days at a time in order to survive. After returning home, Huggins again worked as a journalist before becoming a policeman. Huggins then left law enforcement to pursue full-time writing.

This was truly an amazing book. For all those that love historical fiction that is woven in such a way that is mimics secular science fiction in a biblical way, you will LOVE this book. The Nightbringer is 100% good! It shows that good overcomes evil. A holy warrior exsists and he is the only hope of the tourists and the monks at St. Gregory's Abbey in the Italian Alps. It was so hard to put this book down, it's adventurous and captivating a must read!

This one is another fantastic fictional writing. James Byron Huggins truly captures imagination in his work, and this one's no exception. From battles between good and evil, to compassion for other people in work, I found this one like all the rest of his works tough to put down. Enjoyable for men, women and teens alike. With this much action and suspense, even persons that don't normally enjoy reading will probably get hooked.

Author/Artist Review

Author: James Byron Huggins
Submitted: December 03, 2004

Tell us a little about yourself.  I am the author of other titles you might be familiar with, including Cain and Leviathan. My next project, The Scam, which is a novel about a government conspiracy, will be release by WHITAKER HOUSE in early 2005 - keep your eyes open for that one!

What was your motivation behind this project?  I love to explore the depth of human nature, and by writing, I am able to take on other personas and see the world through someone else's eyes. Such is the case with this project - I came away from the book with a deeper understanding of what motivates us, as human beings, to choose between right and wrong.

What do you hope folks will gain from this project?  I hope that readers will gain a deeper and more entertaining and engaging idea of the powers of right and wrong from this story. The power of good and evil in our world is very real, and that idea is explored in an entertaining way in this suspense thriller!

Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know:  I am looking very forward to the release of my new novel, The Scam, by WHITAKER HOUSE, in early 2005!
