All aboard the night night train! The Golden Retriever family is on their way to bedtime, but first they must eat dinner in the dining car, take baths and brush their teeth, all before watching the sunset. Say goodnight to the stars, the water, and the sun with your little one. Parents and kids alike will adore this colorful artwork, and the sweet animals displayed in this book. The story will have your childs eyes closing in no time.

Erin Lowmaster5 Stars Out Of 5Perfect for Toddlers and UpJuly 24, 2017Erin LowmasterQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Night Night, Train by Amy Parker and illustrated by Virginia Allyn, is a sweet story that can help lull little ones to bed. The story begins with a family of dogs getting aboard the night night train to Sleepy Town. On their adventure, we see the family taking part in activities most families would like having dinner, reading a favorite book together, taking a bath, brushing teeth, and evening prayers.
The book is written a rhyming way that flows quite well when read-aloud. Some of the text is displayed in a playfully illustrated manner on the pages. You could read the storyas a whole or just the playful text. Either way, I found the story is well received. I feel thelength is just right for a bedtime story for toddlers and kindergarteners depending on their attention span. But ifa little onecan't findanother wink, I suggestjust reading the playful text.
The illustrations are a delight to look at. You can make a fun game and search for the little mouse which appears on almost every page while the story is being read. The coloring, lighting, and coziness of the pictures is absolutely perfect for a bedtime story.
I adore that at the end of the book there's a reminder of God's love and care. To rest easy knowing God will keep them safe is perfect.
My 14-month-old daughter loves listening to me read and we've made story time a part of our every evening. She took to this book right away. She always picks it up for me to read to her and often I find her looking at it all on her own. The book is recommended for ages 3-5 but I feel it's great for the younger crowd too.
Overall, this is a sweet book that's great for both boys and girls. I love that it's offered in board bookformat as I know it will be read again and again. This format is also easy to keep clean or to take along when a child may be away from home and needing something familiar to help them fall asleep.
I received a copy of this book from BookLook Bloggers and have chosen to write this honest review.
