Night Night Blessings by Amy Parker
October 3, 2011
I was so pleased to receive a complimentary copy of Night Night Blessings by Amy Parker from BookSneeze. Our family loves to have books around the house to remind our children of God's love and/or His blessings, and this book fits perfectly. Night Night Blessings is a padded board book that reminds little ones to see God's blessings in everything around them. From thanking God for a new day to Mommy's kisses and Daddy's prayers, children ages 2-5 are pulled into this book with it's cute little rhymes, colorful pages and artful way the words flow over the pages.
Best selling author, Amy Parker did an adorable job showing multiple ways God blesses us everyday. She takes the reader through a day of blessings - starting at waking up to the sun shining through the window and going all the way to bed that night - making a great bedtime story.
The illustrator, Marijan Ramljak, did a beautiful job, with almost a child-like way about it. The colorful artwork looks to be oil paintings that capture your attention while still stimulating your imagination. The publisher calls it snuggly art, and it truly is. We snuggled on the couch and read this book 3 times as soon as we received it.

My daughter has loved author Amy Parker's "A Night Night Prayer" almost since birth, and Parker's "A Christmas Prayer "easily became another favorite. So we eagerly awaited Parker's newest release, "Night Night Blessings."
Like "A Night Night Prayer," "Night Night Blessings" could easily become an anticipated part of any little one's bedtime ritual. Variations of a four-line verse are repeated on each "thank you" page, giving the familiarity which is so comforting to the youngest listeners. As children grow older, the added feature of selected colorful fonts on each page will serve as early print awareness, an important pre-reading skill.
As with Parker's other books, "Night Night Blessings," too, is a wonderful, age-appropriate introduction to prayer and praise, and is highly recommended for little ones, birth to 3. However, while it is often nice to collect books of a certain author, in this case, I would suggest purchasing EITHER "Night Night Blessings" OR "A Night Night Prayer." The two are so similar that owning both might be a bit redundant.

"Thank you God for the many ways, you sprinkle my days with love"
A very sweet heartwarming board for b=night time reading teaching your little one an=bout love and blessings at the end of the day. The beautiful illustrations keep my daughters attention while also calming her. The lovey poetry creates a warm story to help little ones wind down at the end of the day.
Can I tell you how much i love this book. Because it's a board book I can let my little one sit and read it and not worry about torn pages
My daughter loves this book and in the less than 24 hours that we have had it she has read it and had it read to her multiple times. She loves the way my voice sounds when reading the lyrical poetry and try's to mimic it. The pictures are captivating to her and she loves pointing out different things in the book (like pancakes).
I would defiantly recommend this book to any and all of my mommy friends!
