Product Description

Fifteen-year-old Archer Keaton has the ability to enter and explore his dreams. He is a Dreamtreader, one of three selected from each generation. Their mission: to protect the waking world from the Nightmare Lord who dwells beyond the Slumber Gate. But as Archer's dreams become more dangerous and threatening, so too does his waking life.

In this fast-paced conclusion to the exciting fantasy trilogy, the dream world and the waking world bleed into each other when a rift is formed between the two. People in the real world suddenly find their waking lives resemble their wildest dreams. Now it's up to Archer and his fellow Dreamtreaders to race to reverse the rift before too much damage is done and to battle Archer's ex-best friend Kara, who sits on the throne of the Nightmare Lord. Kara is building an army of her own. Will Archer be strong enough to stand against her?

I do love the dreamtrader series with their endless mysteries, adventure, and awe you can only experience in your dreams.

"War for the Waking World" was an amazing conclusion to "The Shadow Key" (book 2). After the devastating tragedy of the two worlds fusing together, Archer and his friends fight to save the world they once knew. But in the new world anything is possible...and that can become extremely dangerous. Archer and his gang fights many strange creatures, some so horrifying that they will give you nightmares yourself, in this action packed fantasy any adventurer would not want to miss.

though the characters some times seemed flat and I frequently found myself irritated at their lack of reaction/emotion to the situations in which they found themselves in. Also along those same lines, the narrative also felt flat. It tended to tell me details rather than showing them to me. But overall I really did enjoy this series.

I was given this book for my honest review from BookLook bloggers program. (booklookbloggers.com)

War for the Waking World is the third and final installment of the Dreamtreader trilogy. A Rift has occurred and now the Dream World and the Waking World are fused together; everything is in chaos. Archer and his fellow Dreamtreaders are hard-pressed to repair the Rift and restore balance to the world. Kara, Archers ex-best friend, is now the new Nightmare Lord and preparing an army to destroy the Dreamtreaders and claim the world for herself. What is worse is that Kara is now more powerful than before and has allies working to see that the Dreamtreaders fail to repair the Rift. Will Archer and his fellow Dreamtreaders be strong enough to defeat their devious and powerful foes?

The book was definitely excellent and exciting. It contained a lot of powerful themes like redemption, not losing sight of why we follow the plans God has for us, and that we are accountable for our actions and the choices we make be they good or bad. Its an exciting fantasy full of adventure, cliffhangers, twists, and adrenaline-filled moments. For these reasons I would recommend this book to others and hope that the spiritual messages that it speaks touch readers hearts, opens their eyes and expands their walk with God.

I was graciously given a physical copy of this book in exchange for my review, but in addition to that I was also given the first 2 in the series in a PDF format. My thoughts are this, GO GET THIS SERIES! Why are you even still reading this? GO! Now! Honestly, if you like fantasy style books, this series is great. Not only that, it is "clean." It brings faith, humility, fantasy, edge of your seat action and adventure, and friendship-all packaged in a fantastic book series. You could read just this book alone, and enjoy it. But why not get the entire series?! It's that good. It is appropriate for young adult readers, middle school'ish would be ok, 30 somethings will enjoy it....etc. The emphasis of friendship is faith, two things that are so very, very important in life, is a good solid lesson for us all, regardless of age. The twists and turns will keep your attention and your mind spinning. Overall, I loved it!

This review was written for The War for the Waking World - eBook.
War for the Waking World is the epic conclusion of the Dreamtreader trilogy. As a long time fan of Wayne Thomas Bastons books, War for the Waking World and the Dreamtreaders series as a whole did not disappoint. Archer fights for his family and those he cares about. This book is full of fun twists and turns that kept me engaged from the very beginning! I loved the role that faith and friendship played in in the story; both are very important things to have in ones life. This book also shows how important it is to face your fears and not let them control you. I will definitely be reading this series again!

I give this book 5 out of 5 stars. I absolutely loved this book; it was full of action and creativity that left me wishing I could be a Dreamtreader too!

Thank you to Thomas Nelson and Litfuse Publicity for a free copy of War for the Waking World in exchange for my honest review. No monetary compensation was received and all views expressed are my own.
