Very easy to read and very enlightening. I would highly recommend to everyone!

I have gone through many devotional books over the last five decades, and this one is the best by far. It is challenging, encouraging, continually keeps the focus on the beautiful gospel and daily grace. I appreciate the amount of scripture always included. I received it as a gift, and have given it as a gift myself several times.

This book has a way that speaks to me several times a week. I started it this summer, and have been amazed at how relevant it is. I can see myself re-reading this every other year! My husband and I read it together - such a great way to spend some time together, sharing what we got out of the daily offering and the extra reading. Paul sometimes likes to repeat phrases a bit much, but most of the time it's to drive a point home. He speaks about being between the already and not yet - and the gift of God's grace over and over again to get us through this in-between place. This book is so good, we bought several copies and gave them as Christmas gifts.

If you are looking for a daily devotional that makes you feel warm and fuzzy, this one is not for you. "New Morning Mercies" by Paul David Tripp has no fluff. It hits life's issues head on, will make you squirm, and challenge your thinking. I can highly recommend it.

Paul Tripp addresses unbiblical attitudes that can linger unaddressed because they align closely with culture. I love how he is always redirecting my heart from the horizontal to the vertical.
