While based on a thorough study of the Greek text, NICNT volumes explain all technical references for easy understanding. Authors evaluate significant textual problems, historical issues, scholarly literature, and explore theological themes. The most highly technical elements are generally dealt with in footnotes, excurses, or appendices maximizing scholarly interaction without exhausting non-academic readers.

jman33445 Stars Out Of 5great set but not all of new testamentSeptember 29, 2016jman3344Quality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 4I love the commentaries so far, however I did expect the whole new testament to be included and it is missing two books.
KaliKalulushiGender: male5 Stars Out Of 5September 12, 2012KaliKalulushiGender: maleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This is one of the best exegetical sets to get. Of course one will not agree with each and every interpretation offered but the scholarship is top-notch. In many cases, the authors have spent more than 15years studying the book upon which they comment. If you had money to purchase just one set on the NT, then look no further, this is it.
C. M. Sheffield5 Stars Out Of 5A Monument to Evangelical ScholarshipJanuary 17, 2011C. M. SheffieldQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5The NICNT is a monument to Evangelical scholarship. While the range of scholars in this set will insure that you likely will not agree with every commentator all the time, there is no doubt that each commentators are qualified men who arrive at their conclusions from solid exegesis. While the price is high for most pastors, the quality of these volumes warrant such a price. They are bound well, in cloth, on good paper with crisp and clear print. These volumes will stand the test of time and be an invaluable resource for many years of ministry and study.
Rev. Raleigh Adams5 Stars Out Of 5November 4, 2009Rev. Raleigh AdamsMy mentor recommended this commentary series to me in 1996. I took my graduation monetary gifts and purchased several commentary sets. This set by far surpasses them all. The commentary on the Epistle of First Corinthians by Dr Gordon Fee is a must have. This commentary series should be owned by every serious bible person. You will not be disappointed. It is my first choice among many commentaries I own.
Robbie Ferguson4 Stars Out Of 5June 25, 2008Robbie FergusonI used my tax return (we do not make a lot of money) to buy these thinking that they were going out of print. When I was putting them on my book shelf I saw that they are not through writing them. I wish I had known this before I bought them.I highly recommend these to any student of exegesis. They are well written and go in depth on needed subjects. I have a great deal of admiration and respect for the editor Gordon Fee.
