Series: Serena Jones Mysteries
When a valuable Salvador Dali painting belonging to her grandmother's friend is mysteriously replaced by a forgery, FBI Special Agent Serena Jones is called in to investigate. Serena hopes finding the thief will also mean finally measuring up to Nana's expectations. But when the evidence points to members of the owner's own household, it becomes increasingly clear that Serena won't be winning any popularity contests.
The Dali isn't the only painting that's fallen prey to the forgery-replacing thief, raising the specter of a sophisticated theft ring--one with links to dirty cops, an aspiring young artist, and the unsolved murder of Serena's grandfather.
With plenty of edge-of-your-seat moments, Another Day, Another Dali gives the plucky Serena Jones--and readers--a new high-stakes case to crack.

This time, her Nana's friend, Gladys, is the one whose painting has been stolen, with a forgery left in its place. There is plenty of action with several suspects, the Russian mob, and even Nate's brother, Randy. Aunt Martha has a canny way of showing up to be involved in the action. Serena's mother is still dreaming of grandchildren, hoping Serena will give up her dangerous job to marry and have babies. She seems to have pinned her hopes on Tanner, whereas Aunt Martha still is firmly in Nate's corner. Both men seem to care for Serena, though she isn't dating either one and considers Tanner a colleague/friend and Nate a friend. She isn't immune to their charms by any means. Part of the fun of this mystery series is wondering which man will finally win Serena's heart. I am very much looking forward to reading the final book, Over Maya Dead Body. Though Another Day, Another Dali can stand alone, this series is just too much fun to read to not read all three books.
I received a complimentary copy of the book but it in no way influenced my opinion of it.
ShaiNorfolk, NEAge: 35-44Gender: female4 Stars Out Of 5A great mystery and a dash of romanceAugust 30, 2017ShaiNorfolk, NEAge: 35-44Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Another Day Another Dali is book two in the Serena Jones series and a great addition. Serena is a hoot. I love her quirkiness and the woman does find a way to get herself into the most interesting predicaments and of course, getting herself out of them is always entertaining.
As she hunts down art forgers, Serena inadvertently digs up truths about her grandfather's cold case. Old hurts and perceived actions are in desperate need of clarification in her family. Serena is caught between two men who are helpful and cute. And if her mother gets her way, they'll be on the Husband To Be list. If only Serena agreed.
I loved this story and especially Aunt Martha. She's always fun. Sandra Orchard once again delivers a great mystery filled with suspense and a dash of romance.

Fans will want to follow along with the romance between Nate and Serena and Tanner and Serena as they via against each other for her affections, but otherwise the mystery is stand-alone, other than the continuing mystery regarding who killed Serena's grandfather.
I enjoyed reading ANOTHER DAY ANOTHER DALI as this one delved into the world of forgeries and how it related to art -- who is forging? Who stole an original from an older lady and replaced it with a fake? And how does this tie into the (unrelated?) case that Tanner is investigating? The story does start slow, but it picks up about midway.
I thought I had this one figured out, but there are many twists, turns and red herrings so I wasn't sure until the very end when it is revealed. I can't wait to read the third book in this series (out now and will be reviewed later this month.
Don't miss ANOTHER DAY ANOTHER DALI. I got this book free. My opinion is my own.

Special Agent Serena Jones serves on the FBI Art Crime team. However, a surprising amount of her work originates from her family's connections in the city. As a favor to her grandmother, Serena delves into the mystery of her neighbor's missing Dali painting and the forgery that was left behind. She soon discovers that the case coincides with other forgeries throughout the area, as well as the investigation surrounding her grandfathers murder years before. Facing an increasing number of suspicious threats on her life, Serena must quickly crack the case before more art and lives are lost.
Ms. Orchard offers a riveting mystery filled with spunky characters and high-action investigations. Another Day, Another Dali will delight readers of great Christian fiction, especially in the mystery/suspense genre.
Overall, I really enjoyed reading Another Day, Another Dali. Although I have not (yet) read the first book in Ms. Orchard's Serena Jones Mystery series (A Fool and His Monet), Another Day, Another Dali was incredibly accessible and easy to follow. While some mystery and suspense novels can seem overly dark, even among those released by Christian publishers, this novel remained very light and enjoyable to read. Likewise, many of the characters offered a fun and quirky contrast to the high-stakes action of Serenas FBI investigation. Ms. Orchards style reminded me of Rene Gutteridge's highly-entertaining Occupational Hazards series, while integrating great references to the world of art crimes and the FBI. After reading this novel, I am looking forward to tracking down the first book of the series, as well as finding the third novel in the series (Over Maya Dead Body) when it releases in July 2017.

The plotline of Serena's murdered grandfather continues in this book.
I love the cast of characters in this book. Many of them are the same as in book one. There are a lot of different quirks and personalities among them. It is fascinating to see how Serena interacts with each of them and tries to keep a balance between her profession and dealing with family.
I thoroughly enjoyed seeing how Aunt Martha "helps" Serena throughout the book. She is so enthralled with mysteries and trying to solve them herself that she is a riot. Yet at times she does have some good ideas.
The plot for the separate mystery in this book is wonderful. I was hooked and knew that I had to finish the story to find out how it turned out from early on. There are enough different suspects to confuse things nicely.
There is a second ongoing story from book one that is very amusing. I can't wait to see if either Tanner or Nate will end up being a romantic interest for Serena. She keeps insisting that they are both "just" friends.
I'm looking forward to seeing what happens in the next book.
