Never Let Go is the first novel in Elizabeth Goddard's Uncommon Justice series. As expected, this book is built around a mystery that kept me guessing until the end. I love it when I don't know who the villian is until the moment he or she is revealed! The mystery aspect carried the weight of the story from beginning to end.

The romance between Austin and Willow started out brilliantly. The tension and questions about their past relationship were intriguing at first. Unfortunately, the romantic tension started to fizzle out less than halfway through. Sure, there were still unresolved feelings and things to be communicated, but it lost some of its zap. I think if there had been deeper character development, maybe that would have made their relationship more enticing, but as it was, their thoughts and desires felt a bit repetitive.

The strength of Never Let Go by Elizabeth Goddard lies in its mystery narrative and ability to keep the reader guessing. If you have enjoyed previous books by this author, you might enjoy Never Let Go.

Willow Anderson, a forensic genealogist, is taking over her grandfather's business after his death. Her first client asks her to find the daughter who was abducted from the hospital over twenty years ago. With the hep from her ex-boyfriend Austin McKade, who is an ex-FBI Agent, they follow the clues and soon discover there is more to this abduction than just a missing person. Lives are at risk. Can they find the truth, and the child, before more harm is done?

I am, as you know, a fan of mysteries, and I am a big fan of cold cases. So, I was pretty excited about this story. I fee that it was written well, the characters each had their own personalities, the plot kept me interested. This is also my first book by Elizabeth Goddard and I was pleased with it. I will be on the lookout for her other books. This particular one is the first in a series and I want to read the rest when they come out.

*I received this book from from Revell in exchange for my honest review. What I have expressed are entirely my own thoughts. I was not compensated in any monetary way.*

Willow and Austin have a history. She's just been through a traumatic experience. He's there at the request of her late grandfather. The danger and clues keep him there. The book takes us to the beautiful country surrounding the Tetons. As beautiful as the setting, the area is filled with danger at every turn for Austin and Willow. They have a case to solve. It was a unique investigation too. Genetic Investigation. I enjoyed learning and liked this storyline. Definitely a book I'd recommend. I received a copy of the book from the publisher. I also bought a copy. All views stated are my own.

I've really been looking forward to Elizabeth Goddard's first foray into full-length romantic suspense novels since I first heard several months ago that it would be releasing. Some authors have difficulty switching from either short to long stories or long to short stories, Elizabeth Goddard had no such trouble with Never Let Go. Exciting, spine-tingling, and definitely action-packed, from the very start, this book was a great start to the Uncommon Justice series.

As a person fascinated by family history from a very young age, I found the heroine's profession to be unusual and perfectly intriguing. I had heard of genealogists before but the term 'forensic genealogist' was a new one to me.

I sincerely enjoyed Never Let Go, from the dramatic cover to the very last paragraph. The characters are engaging, the mystery is engrossing, the settings are striking, and the back-and-forth tug of romance between Willow and Austin is just right. Not to mention the elements of faith woven throughout the story are a perfect complement to the backdrop intrigue fraught with danger.

Whether you love the Elizabeth Goddard's shorter books or just romantic suspense in general, Never Let Go is a MUST read. Don't miss a single page!

(I received a copy of this book from the publisher. All opinions are entirely my own.)

Forensic genealogist Willow Anderson and her old flame ex-FBI agent Austin McKade embark on a dangerous adventure trying to find a baby girl who was abducted 21 years previously. Willow's grandfather was hired by a woman dying from cancer to find her lost baby girl. With his sudden death, Willow and Austin take over and travel all the way from Seattle to Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Will they find the girl, survive, and possibly find their way back to each other? There is only one way to find out!

I loved this book so much. I'll admit that I'm a big fan of Elizabeth Goddard. I've read most of her books and with each book I love her more and more. This is no exception. She has a gift for taking her readers on a very intense wild ride filled with so much suspense that you are on the edge of your seat the whole time. She also knows how to weave in romance and spirituality that leaves you feeling hopeful despite the never-ending setbacks. Her books are filled with grace and redemption. This one is no exception. I loved getting to know Willow and Austin. They each had flaws, but together they make such an amazing team and love story. You definitely root for this couple to begin again. I also loved that it was set mainly in Wyoming! I have a thing for Wyoming. It made the story complete! I really think if you are looking for a clean christian suspense with some romance then this is the book for you. I'd love for this to become a movie. I can't wait for book 2. What a great start for a wonderful series!
