It keeps your attention throughout the whole story. It revolves around the reenactment of the Battle of Shiloh. Stacy Sutton is a photographer asked to cover it. An injured soldier emerges through the smoke of the battle. He was not a participant of the reenactment. Is this time traveling/ is he just lost? He claims to be a Civil War soldier. Throughout the story, Stacy's faith comes into play. It is another on of this author's great works.

By: Tanya Stowe
I really enjoy Tanya's books and this one was no disappointment. I started reading the book and couldn't put it down. I read it in one sitting. To good she kept me wanting to turn the page I had to see what was happening. Never Ending Night was more then a historical it was also romance and a hint of time travel.
I really felt for the characters in the story. Stacy who is a photographer out taking pictures of war time re-enactments . From the loss she has in her life some how finds getting loss in her work a way to hide herself. Through the re-enactment walks a soldier through the smoke. Only problem is he is from the Battle of Shiloh how can that be that was like 1862 and it is 2012. Tyler can only remember a big explosion. Then Stacy was over him. He remembers the poem he wrote Never-Ending Night. Get this book it is really great. I love the way Tanya works Tyler's faith into the story. I think this book can reach out to a lot of readers, Historical, Romance, Time Travel, Mystery, and Spiritual.
I received this book from bookfun.org. My review is my own opinion.
bookwomanjoanOak Harbor, WAAge: Over 65Gender: Female4 Stars Out Of 5Unique plot and surprise endingAugust 18, 2014bookwomanjoanOak Harbor, WAAge: Over 65Gender: FemaleQuality: 4Value: 5Meets Expectations: 4What at unusual but rewarding plot. During a reenactment of a Civil War battle, one of the actual soldiers in that battle steps out of the smoke. T. R. Sheridan has been transported from the Civil War era to our present time. He is first observed by Stacy Sutton, a freelance photographer filming the reenactment.
The story follows T. R. and Stacy as he tries to adjust to being in a different time. An evil psychiatrist wants him committed, not because T. R. is dangerous, but because the doctor sees a great opportunity for studying an unusual man and advancing his career in the process. Stacy takes T. R. into her care. She thinks it might atone for the death of her journalist friend while the two of them were reporting on a war overseas.
This book is an interesting study in adapting to a totally different era and culture, mixing in romance. Paralleling T. R.'s traumatic experience is Stacy's, coming to grips with the death she has seen. Healing the past is difficult and can only be done with supernatural help.
I was not at all prepared for the suspenseful and surprising ending. While the novel is not perfect (there is at least one aspect of T. R.'s appearance at the reenactment that is not reconciled at the end), it is pretty good.
I received a complimentary digital copy of this book through the Book Club Network for the purpose of an independent and honest review.
Mrs ARS5 Stars Out Of 5Unique and RivetingAugust 11, 2014Mrs ARSQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Never-Ending Night by Tanya Stowe captured my attention from the first page and I had a hard time putting it down until I read the very last page. During a reenactment of a Civil War battle, photographer Stacy Sutton captures in pictures a mysterious man coming out of the smoke. No one knows who this wounded man is or where he came from. Not only that, but he says that he is T.R. Sheridan, a man who was killed during the Battle of Shiloh which was the battle being reenacted. As Stacy feels a connection with Tyler (T.R. Sheridan) she is finding out some very disturbing information. Not only does he not recall what happened on the field or how he got there, he is very disturbed by the modern world. He says he is from the past, but is time travel really possible? Not only are Stacy and Tyler trying to find answers, so are a few others that may not be so trustworthy. I really did not know which way the author was going to take this story but I had a fun time reading it. You will just have to read the book yourself to find out how this fast paced story answers the time travel question. I received this book from The Book Club Network, Inc. (TBCN) and the opinions are my own.
JeanWest Palm Beach, FLAge: Over 65Gender: female4 Stars Out Of 5A Great Read!August 4, 2014JeanWest Palm Beach, FLAge: Over 65Gender: femaleWhat an enjoyable read! Kudos to this author for a very unique story. I was drawn to this book because I love "time travel" stories, and although I wasn't sure that was the topic, I got it anyway, just in case it was. This is a super short book of 184 pages that is easily read in one or two days. Throughout the book, the author is successful in keeping the reader guessing as to the outcome. There were so many times during the chapters where I would think, "oh, that's who he is", but then, would think, "oh, maybe he isn't". There was no way anyone could figure out its outcome until the very end when the author decided to reveal its mysteries. This is a story revolving around the Civil War, the present day, and in the end, it gives you a glance into the future of the main characters. It provides romance, action, suspense and characters with which we can all relate. This is one of those books that can be labeled, a 'page turner'.
I highly recommend it. I received the book through bookfun.org in exchange for my honest review.
