Normally, Wes Grayson would have been attracted to the striking woman with the camera. But this woman has clearly been stalking Amy, his adoptive daughter and the center of his life. And a threat to Amy is a threat to Wes. Laney Fields has no desire to threaten anyone, just a longing to see the child shed brought into the world six years ago and then been forced to release for adoption. But when she learns that Amys adoptive mother has died, Laney becomes determined to play a part in her daughters life. Between a man and woman torn by past losses, present fears, and the paradox of their growing fascination for each other, stands one small child. She could be the object of distrust that will drive them apart or the agent of faith in God that can bring them together.

Laney just wants to know her daughter and will do anything to make that happen. Wes is still grieving from the loss of his wife and will do anything to protect his daughter. Can Laney and Wes compromise and get along to keep Amy's life on an even keel? With believable characters and events, Blackstock tells a heartwarming tale of people who must deal with circumstances beyond their control. The message of a strong faith in a God who cares is woven throughout the book. I borrowed the audible version of the book from my local public library. It is narrated by Sandra Burr who does a wonderful job of giving each character a distinction voice which makes listening to this captivating book a pleasant listening experience.

She captures you in the first chapter and doesn't let you go until the end. This series is great! I have read everybook that I can find that this author has written. I won't comment on the story line because I am sad when a review gives too much of a story line away, and I know that I wouldn't be able to stop once I got started. Trust me you will not be disappointed...
