Amazing Value5 Stars Out Of 5NAS Giant Print BibleNovember 7, 2016Amazing ValueQuality: 5Value: 0Meets Expectations: 0At first when we got the bible we thought the pages may be too fragile, but they have held up great! The print is big enough for sure! Absolutely an amazing value!
TrailblazerNortheastAge: Over 65Gender: Male4 Stars Out Of 5So-soOctober 28, 2016TrailblazerNortheastAge: Over 65Gender: MaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 4The more I use this Bible I like the notes but the translation has verses omitted and I am not fond of that. This is to be expected of more recent translations but I like what is translated at certain points enough to have ordered it.
Ken5 Stars Out Of 5NAS Giant Print Reference Bible, HardcoverOctober 26, 2016KenQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Very large easy to read print. Our church bought 15 of the Hardcover NAS Giant Print Reference Bibles for Bible Studies for older people to use many of whom are not Christians. 6 liked them so much they bought them for themselves. We will have to do a replacement order. Great to read and the New American Standard is a very accurate translation! Super price and super service! Wonderful value for the money!
Ed3 Stars Out Of 5A nice bibleOctober 3, 2016EdQuality: 4Value: 4Meets Expectations: 2Pros:
Seems well put together, good binding.
Paper quality is good, don't see too much shadow coming through from the other side.
Print quality is good, nice and crisp dark letters.
Font size is typical "giant print" about the same size as all the others I've seen.
The leather is bonded leather and it smells like tar. It literally stinks. Typically when I buy a leather bible the first thing I do after taking it out of the package and flipping through the pages is hold it up to my face and take a deep breath. I'm giving you fair warning. This bible smells more like tar than it does leather. The smell of this bible almost makes me nauseous.
The font face of the verse numbers is modern but the font face of the text is more like times new roman. It doesn't match and somehow that's visually distracting. Some verse numbers are bold not sure why, I didn't bother investigating.
I bought this bible for myself. Didn't really need giant print but I wanted something that was easy on the eyes for long reads. The only thing I'm disappointed about is the quality of the leather. I would not classify bonded leather in the same league as "genuine" leather.
Lana5 Stars Out Of 5Great Quality!September 24, 2016LanaQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Print is large for the aging eyes. The thumbed index and leather is great! The Bible is not heavy like my study Bibles with smaller print.
Q: Question about reading though thin pages and readability... I am trying to find a simple Giant Print NASB. I don't realy care about references etc. as I have software which I use for that purpose. What I do care about is readability. I need a giant print, red-letter -- which are easy enough to find - but what I cannot tell from the ads are whether or not one can "read through" the page. Many of these bibles sacrifice page thickness in order to cram more pages between the cover. I don't car if it is three inches thick, I need readability and heavy pages. I was looking at the NASB Giant-Print Reference Bible, but the width is not mentioned (which would give a hint), and none of the comments say anything about it. The font is probably okay, and it is red-letter. What do you recommend I do?
The font size is 13 pt, and the width of this Bible is 2" inches wide.
